Delta North Football Coaches Council Elects New Officials
The Delta North Football Coaches Council (DNFCC) on Friday, June 12, successfully conducted elections for a new executive committee that will oversee the affairs of the association for the next four years.
Following the electoral process, Coach Sunday Onekpe emerged as the new Chairman of the Council.
Also elected were:
🔹 Coach Alana – 1st Vice Chairman🔹 Coach Alika – 2nd Vice Chairman🔹 Coach Emma Evakporaye – 3rd Vice Chairman🔹 Coach Roboto – Secretary🔹 Coach Odili Ogbochi – Treasurer🔹 Coach Awurum Ngozi Veron – Welfare Officer🔹 Coach Ajayi Dare – Public Relations Officer (P.R.O)🔹 Coach Elvis – Financial Secretary🔹 Coach Dennis – Provost
In addition, renowned football analyst and media personality Coach Ken Gadaffi "The Oracle" was appointed as the Media Officer in absentia.
The Council also named immediate past Chairman, Coach Emeka Okwutu, and Coach Bebeto as Special Advisers in recognition of their contributions to the growth of the association.
In his valedictory speech, outgoing Chairman Coach Emeka Okwutu congratulated the newly elected executives and charged them to discharge their responsibilities with honour, integrity and commitment.
"Very big congratulations to the newly elected executives of the Delta North Football Coaches Association. It is a call to duty and an opportunity to demonstrate passion and commitment. We look forward to taking directives from you as you pilot this association to greater heights. I pray Almighty God grants you the wisdom, strength and resources in abundance to successfully carry out your duties. Once again, congratulations," he stated.
The election marks the beginning of a new chapter for football coaching development in Delta North, with members expressing optimism that the new leadership will take the association to even greater heights.
