Building is fun. Selling is scary.
Most engineers would rather code for 6 months in hiding than launch imperfectly. But here's the truth:
a mediocre product launched beats a perfect product never released.
Today I'm showing you how to get your first customer paying for your AI product. Not in 6 months. In
the next 2 weeks.
The Brutal Truth About Launch:
No one cares about your product. Seriously.
They care about THEIR problem. Your job isn't to explain how cool your AI is. Your job is to solve
their pain point faster, cheaper, better than they could themselves.
Step 1: Identify Your First Customer (Specific, Not Generic)
Don't say: I'll sell to small businesses.
Say: I'll sell to beauty salon owners on Facebook who respond to customer booking inquiries.
Specific target = easier to reach = faster sales.
Why? Because you know exactly where to find them, what language they speak, what problems

Step 2: Talk To Them First (Before Building) Wait, you already built something? Okay, do this anyway.
Send 20 DMs to people in your target market:
Hi [Name], I noticed you're a salon owner. Can I ask you something? How much time do you waste
responding to booking inquiries every week?
Write down their answers. You'll find patterns:
• About 2 hours a day
• It's so annoying
• I miss booking requests on messenger
• I wish there was an automatic way
THIS is your marketing copy later.
Step 3: Create A One-Page Sales Page (1 Day)
You don't need a fancy website. Use:
• Notion (free)
• Carrd (simple landing pages)
• Wix (standard but works)
• Or honestly, just a Google Doc
Your one-pager should have:
