Hestia Technology Limited, founded in Hong Kong in 2018, is revolutionizing kitchens with its advanced robotic systems. Their latest robots handle all cooking tasks—from getting ingredients to serving and cleaning—completely on their own.
The company plans to produce 30,000 units and generate $256 million (HK$2 billion) in revenue. Hestia’s fully automated kitchen includes a larder, conveyor belt, and multicooker. This setup can replace up to three chefs and prepare over 200 dishes, including regional Chinese and Italian cuisine.
Users select a dish on a tablet, and the robot handles everything: retrieving ingredients, cooking, and plating. Afterward, it cleans up in under 15 seconds, readying the kitchen for the next dish.
Hestia’s systems cut energy costs by up to 50%, labor costs by 66%, oil usage by 60%, and water use by 65%. They also reduce common chef injuries, allowing kitchen staff to concentrate on creative tasks and customer service.
Hestia’s AI-powered robots promise high consistency in every dish, overcoming the quality fluctuations often seen in traditional kitchens.
