In Nigeria, community is our strength.
Maybe that’s why, no matter how tough things get, we keep going.
Because one person having… is often enough to support many others.
Weddings are a perfect example.
The moment a date is announced, friends and family come together.
Committees are formed. Contributions are made. Support shows up.
Beautiful thing to see.
But the people I admire the most are those who go a step further.
Guys like Ali and Menyir (not their real names).
They don’t just attend weddings…
They come with extra souvenirs.
Because they know something most people don’t think about; 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡.
So they quietly support the couple with items like mugs, notepads, towels and other simple gifts,
So that even those who come later still have something to take home.
That’s thoughtful. That’s real support.
So let me ask you,
When you attend weddings,
do you just show up well dressed Or do you come with something extra?
