Osun Declares Tuesday Work-Free for PVC Collection Ahead of Election

The Osun State Government has declared Tuesday, July 28, 2026, a work-free day to enable eligible public servants to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the forthcoming election.

The directive, announced by Governor Senator Ademola Adeleke, applies to state public servants, local government employees, and staff of state-owned tertiary institutions.

According to the government, the work-free day is intended to give eligible voters ample time to visit designated Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) collection centres and obtain their PVCs.

However, the directive does not apply to essential service providers, including medical personnel, emergency responders, and security agencies, who are expected to remain on duty to ensure uninterrupted public services.

Residents yet to collect their PVCs are advised to visit their designated INEC collection centres with their voter registration details for collection.
