KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS
Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer, and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him, he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews12:2 (NIV)
We live in a material world; for that reason, it is possible to be distracted from the primary purpose of why we are here. Distractions can come from financial worry, our aspirations, marriage, relationships, the goals we are here to attain, and other cares of this world.
However, our theme scripture encourages us not to lose sight of the main prize, just as Jesus did. Challenges are bound to happen, and when they do, do not be discouraged! Make the word of God your focus.
Whatever you focus on has the concentration of your attention. Therefore, focus on spiritual growth and your purpose here on earth. Focus on the ministry that you have been called into. In times of challenges, choose to be excited.
Put your attention on the word of God; do not lose sight of the finish line. Luke 21:34 tells us to take heed lest our hearts be filled with the cares of this world. Do not let the worries of this life discourage you in your service to God. Understand that the lesser is contained in, the more remarkable. All you need to thrive in life (the lesser) is wrapped in your service to God (the greater). Hallelujah!
AFFIRMATION
I am not discouraged, distracted, or perturbed. I know who I am, and I do not lose sight of my purpose here on earth. I have all I need to thrive and survive. Hallelujah!
