AI just did what???

For context, there is a thin line between:
“This is saving my team 10 hours every week.” and: “Why did the AI just delete that?”

Before you give your AI agent access to your systems, decide what it can do on its own and what requires human approval.

1. Let AI read and analyse.
It can search documents, summarise reports, analyse data, find patterns, flag anomalies and pull information from your knowledge base. These are low-risk tasks. Let it work.

2. Let AI recommend.
It can identify the accounts that need attention. Flag an unusual transaction. Prioritise leads. Suggest a code fix. Highlight a possible vulnerability. This is where AI becomes a very fast second pair of eyes.

3. Require human approval for high-impact decisions and irreversible actions. Sending money. Approving refunds. Changing pricing. Delete. Publish. Send.Transfer. Deploy. This is where the AI should stop and wait.

Because the goal is to make sure AI never has more authority than the risk justifies. Only give it enough access to do its job. But not enough access to ruin your week.

Where would you draw the line between AI autonomy and human approval?

What must require human approval vs what can run autonomously?

Your AI agent can do a lot.
But that doesn't mean it should be allowed to do everything. Because there is a thin line between:
“This is saving my team 10 hours every week.” and: “Why did the AI just delete that?”

Before you give your AI agent access to your systems, decide what it can do on its own and what requires human approval.

Your employees are pasting sensitive data into AI tools to save three hours and lose $670K to the cost of a data breach.

This is the most fascinating part about Shadow AI. One login, one unchecked prompt, and suddenly multiple doors stand open.

Banning AI isn't even the answer. Your employees will still use it. They'll just get better at hiding it. The answer is to bring Shadow AI into the light.

1. Find it.
Know which AI tools your employees, teams and developers are actually using. Not the list IT approved six months ago. The real list.

2. Classify what they're putting into it.
Customer information? Source code? Internal strategy?

3. Control access.
Give employees approved AI tools for approved use cases. Limit what those tools can access.

At the end of the day, the question isn't whether your employees are using AI.

The question is:
Do you actually know where they're using it, what they're putting into it, and what that AI can access?

An AI agent just exposed sensitive company data at 2 a.m. and nobody could explain how.

A 2026 Cloud Security Alliance study found that 53% of organizations had experienced AI agents exceeding their intended permissions. Nearly half 47% had experienced an AI-agent security incident in the previous year.

Here are three security measures to inculcate;
1. Give it the minimum permissions it needs.
If it only needs to read your CRM, don't let it delete records.

2. Separate high-risk actions from normal tasks.
Sending an email is one thing. Issuing a $50,000 refund is another.

3. Attack it before someone else does.
Test it with malicious prompts. Test poisoned documents.

What is one technology your business depends on so heavily that losing access to it for 24 hours would genuinely hurt?

42% of developers now say AI writes at least half their code. So who’s checking all that code?
Most teams have zero guardrails. No rules on what agents can change. No boundaries on what they shouldn't touch.

No proof the code is safe before it ships.
That's why we see lots of systems breaking in production that nobody wrote.
At Veenode Technologies, we do one
thing really well:

→ We study how your coding agents actually behave
→ We map everything they can reach and modify
→ We put simple, real controls around them.

We've done this work across engineering teams who moved fast and needed guardrails yesterday.

So the honest question is: Are your AI agents already outwriting your developers?
Drop a "yes" in the comments. You might be surprised how many others say the same.

Right now the EU can fine you up to €35 million or 7% of everything your company makes in a year if your AI breaksthe new rules.

That clock started ticking on 2 August. Because companies keep giving AI agents the power to open files, send emails, change systems, and make decisions.

But they never built the simple rules that say “this agent can do this, but not that.”
So the agents run free. Nobody really knows what they are touching.
And when something goes wrong, the company has no proof they tried to stay in control.

That’s the gap that is about to cost a lot of money. We've seen this first hand at Veenode Technologies. Ourpractical framework is to look at every AI agent you already use. Then map exactly what tools and files it can reach.

Afterwards, we put clear, working guardrails around it so the helpful robot stays helpful and never turns into a problem that gets you fined.

Do you already know every AI agent running inside your company, and what it is allowed to touch?

A particular company thinks it has AI agents in production until one of them makes a $50,000 mistake, and nobody isawake to stop it.

We've seen the huge difference between an agent and a fancy if-else chain wrapped in an LLM that still needs a human to
babysit it every time something unexpected happens.

But real agentic systems that can run for hours, recover from their own mistakes, and write data without blowing upyour systems is extremely rare.

Between a demo and production, Veenode Technologies build
the systems, guardrails, and reliability layers that turn promising agents into production-grade ones.

Everybody literally focus on getting an AI agent to work. But at Veenode, our focus is what happens when it doesn’t?

Most companies running Citrix NetScaler don’t realise they might already be compromised.

CISA has confirmed two critical zero‑day flaws being actively exploited. No password. No user click. Just full remote code ex*****on. For many organisations, that gap between “alert” and “action” is where breaches are either won or lost.

Veenode Technologies helps organisations build and protect the systems they rely on.

We bring cybersecurity into the architecture itself, helping teams identify security weaknesses, strengthen critical systems, and build technology that is more resilient and defensible.

And because our team also works across AI engineering, software, and AI governance, security does not have to sit separately from the systems you are building.

Think about the systems your team relies on every day. How confident are you that they would hold up when a critical vulnerability is discovered?

AI agents running OpenAI’s Codex + DeepSeek just tore through 11 organizations in 26 seconds.
One person started it.

He gave the AI agents a simple job: find weak print servers called PaperCut, break in, and take control.

The agents did the rest almost by themselves.
They scanned the whole internet, wrote their own attack code, then they hit remarkably hard.

When the dust settled, 395 organizations across 48 countries were hit. The agents stole login details from 280 of
them and got full boss-level control at 12 places.

This is what happens when we hand AI tools that can open files, run code, and take actions, and we don’t lock the
doors tight enough.

Veenode Technologies helps companies look at every AI agent already in use, see what tools and files it can touch,
and put real guardrails around it so the helpful robot stays helpful and never turns into a break-in tool.

Attackers are now using fake job offers to get inside companies.

Your hiring process is helping them!

Microsoft just caught attackers posing as recruiters, sending fake coding tests to devs. One click and boom, credentials, API tokens, cloud access, all gone.

Your hiring pipeline isn't just an HR thing anymore. It's an open door if you're not careful.

Here's what actually works:

→ Sandbox all technical assessments
→ Verify every recruiter identity
→ Lock down candidate-facing endpoints
→ Flag weird access patterns immediately

We've helped companies at Veenode Technologies find and shut down exactly these kinds of gaps, before someone walks right through them.

Founders: is your hiring process currently part of your cybersecurity strategy?
