What young boys do today to belong to a class is shocking. From Benin to Auchi, the tale of blood for money is so much. From Abraka to Warri, the same is taking a dangerous toll on the young people. From Agulueri to Isu -Aniocha, quick wealth pursuit is the order of the day. From Onitsha Main Market to Nkwo Nnewi, the situation is fiery. Edinogu came, reigned for issuing staff to those who wanted to be rich desperately. There was a mad rush. Today, where are those men who took the staff? Nwanyi Asaba reigned for giving breast milk of wealth, people rushed to participate. Where are they today? The list goes on and on. People's Club reigned. Everybody wanted to join. Where are they today?
Presently, the trend has been driven into social media spaces. You now see some juju priests luring young people into the coven of early departure. In the next four to five years from today, 80% of the young men we see doing everything possible to drive Benz will be nowhere to be seen on the surface of the earth. Venza people came and left. Getting money from Yahoo became almost impossible since last three years. What young people do now is completely money ritual in the name of *itu olu. If you are not ready to commit to Oke ite, Ibobo or Okeawele, *mgbada won't pay anything worth the all nights of not sleeping. Kids of 17, 18, 20 and 22 years who haven't suffered anything in life are the ones queuing for such initiation. In their 28-30 years of age, they are gone or be on the street m.ad or become poorest in life. They wealth will goes with them.
It's not only about *itu olu. Traders are doing the same. You can see someone who doesn't have enough goods counting in millions against the others working very hard. They are everywhere in our markets. If you sell more than they do, they'll come after you. The pressure is high. Ordinary quarrel with a neighbour the next thing is diabolic challenge. Today, if you are not spiritually strong, you can't talk where others are talking.
