Before you spend your money, read this…

Many students walk into the market with excitement and walk out with regret.

Why? Because they don’t understand one simple truth: Not all laptops are new even when they look new.

THE BIG MISTAKE MOST BUYERS MAKE:
They focus only on:
- Price
- Appearance ✨
- “It’s fast” talk from sellers

But they forget the most important things:
- Battery health
- Storage type (SSD vs HDD)
- System condition (refurbished or original)
- Upgradeability

Some laptops in the market are:
- Refurbished and sold as “UK used”
- Old systems upgraded to look new
- Weak battery laptops that die fast
- Slow HDD laptops disguised as “fast machines”

SIMPLE RULE BEFORE YOU BUY:
Ask these 3 questions:
- Is it SSD or HDD?
- How long does the battery last?
- Can it handle my school/work needs?

If a laptop has HDD only,
it may look cheap… but it will waste your time.
Speed matters more than appearance.

Before you buy any laptop, don’t just ask “How much?”

Ask:
👉 “Will this laptop serve me for 3–5 years?”

Your Excellency,

I write with deep respect and a strong sense of civic responsibility to draw your attention to a disturbing issue that has become rampant across Abia State. This concerns the excessive and exploitative practices of some house agents in the rental housing sector.

Today, citizens searching for accommodation are subjected to outrageous agent fees ranging from six to eight months rent. In many cases, these fees are demanded without regulation, justification, or accountability. This practice has gone beyond inconvenience and has become outright extortion, placing unbearable financial pressure on workers, young people, and low income families who only seek a decent place to live.

Your Excellency, housing is a basic necessity, not a privilege reserved for the wealthy. The unchecked actions of these agents are undermining your administration’s vision of fairness, order, and improved living standards. If urgent steps are not taken, this menace will continue to thrive and deepen public hardship.

We humbly appeal to you to look into this matter and institute clear regulations that will protect residents from exploitation. Your timely intervention will restore hope and confidence in governance.

May your leadership continue to bring relief and justice to the people of Abia State.

HOW DO YOU START A TECH CAREER?
Brainbuilder computers/Academy answers questions everyone keeps asking!

First of all, tech has two paths:
1️⃣ General career skills
2️⃣ Specialized career skills

And honestly? Every beginner MUST start with the general skills, what we call Employability Skills.

These are the basic abilities that allow you to handle everyday tasks in any workplace. If your boss gives you an assignment, you should be able to confidently say, “Yes, I can do it on a computer.”

But here’s the truth:
Your general skills must match the environment you live in.

What someone in the UK needs as “basic tech skills” is very different from what someone in Nigeria needs. Their level is higher, so their baseline is different.

So if you want to be relevant where you are, learn the skills that your local job market values.
For , for example, the core Employability include:

💻 MS Word
📊 MS Excel
🎤 MS PowerPoint
🌐 Internet usage
📧 Email communication
🛠 Basic IT support

Once you have these general foundational , THEN you can confidently choose your specialization, whether it’s web development, , /UX, analysis, or any other tech path.

That’s the real road to building a tech :
Master the basics → Then pick a specialization → Then grow.

This is how winners in tech begin their journey.
Start small, but start strong.

Your future self will thank you.
