Neotel (Pty) Ltd., previously SNO Telecommunications, is the much anticipated second national operator (SNO) for fixed line telecommunication services in South Africa. It was unveiled on 2006-08-31 in Kyalami in northern Johannesburg. Neotel is South Africa's first direct telecommunications competitor to the current telecommunications parastatal, Telkom. The new company announced its business servi

ces on 2007-11-15 and its consumer services in May 2008. Its business services include local and international leased line services, as well as a suite of voice, data (VPN), and Internet offerings delivered over its converged, next-generation network. International Transit services for wholesale customers have been available since September 2006. They plan to use wireless broadband technologies, amongst others, which not only allows data transfers but also voice in the form of VOIP.The arrival of a competitor is said to bring competitive pricing in terms of high speed internet (avg. 250 kbit/s to 750 kbit/s CDMA2000), broadband through WiMax, and later high speed broadband (xDSL and Fiber).[6][7] For many years South Africa has had only one telecommunications service, Telkom, which is partly government owned and partly private owned, but now for the first time people will have a choice of telecommunication services.

Apple releasing first public betas of iOS 10, macOS Sierra on Thursday

Fulfilling a promise it made at WWDC in June, Apple is expected to release the first public betas of iOS 10 and macOS Sierra on Thursday, giving an early glimpse at software that won't be finished until sometime this fall.ccess to the both downloads is restricted to members of the Apple Beta Software Program. Unlike Apple's developer program, however, the Beta Software Program is free, and should offer more stable code than some developer seeds.

People should nevertheless be cautious about installing beta code on a primary device, since it can still potentially cause issues like crashes, battery drain, or slow performance.

The public betas are based on the second developer seeds, which were released on Tuesday. The Sierra beta added support for the planned Auto Unlock feature, while the iOS 10 update included numerous cosmetic and feature changes, such as organ donation registration in Health.

New CAD renderings support rumored features of Apple's 'iPhone 7' and '7 Plus'

If authentic, leaked CAD renderings of Apple's "iPhone 7" and "7 Plus" appear to support claims that the device will ditch the headphone jack, sport tweaked antenna designs, and feature a dual-camera system for the larger 5.5-inch model.Images of the base model show an expected larger space for the rear camera, as well as relocated antenna bands, NWE noted on Wednesday. The bottom of the device has two speaker ports, suggesting once again that Apple is abandoning a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack in the interests of thinness and freeing up space.

The "Plus" model meanwhile shows an opening for a dual-lens camera. None of the published screenshots include an angle revealing whether or not the device has a Smart Connector.

The authenticity of the renderings can't be confirmed, but some images do depict internal case elements important only in manufacturing, which are unlikely to be faked. One possibility is that the renderings stem from someone at Catcher, the supplier normally tasked with building metal casings for iPhones.
Apple is expected to ship the "iPhone 7" line sometime this fall, presumably within the company's normal September window. One of the biggest changes may actually be storage capacity, as Apple is expected to finally boost the minimum to 32 gigabytes — something other phone makers have been doing for a while.

iPhone 7 Plus rumours: Design

Update 27 May 2016: It seems as if Apple is having a tough time keeping a lid on iPhone 7 Plus leaks, as LetemSvetemApplem has obtained new iPhone 7 Plus schematics that, interestingly, include measurements. The schematics, if true, suggest that the iPhone 7 Plus will be the same width as the iPhone 6s Plus, measuring in at 7.3mm, and will drop the 3.5mm headphone jack. While the dual-camera setup and Smart Connector are both clearly recognisable in the schematics, the most interesting thing about this leak is that the iPhone 7 Plus display doesn't seem to have top or bottom bezels. While Apple is rumoured to be working on an edge-to-edge display, possibly for the iPhone 8, we think it's more likely that the schematics contain a mistake or is simply fake.

iPhone 7 Plus release date & new features rumours: Apple to drop 16GB model | No dual-lens camera | iPhone 7 Pro

Looking for iPhone 7 Plus rumours? Here's what to expect from Apple's big-screen iPhone 7 Plus in 2016, including iPhone 7 Plus release date rumours, specs, new features, design changes and all the leaked photos and concept videos we've unearthed. Plus: rumours say the iPhone 7 Plus might not have the rumoured dual-lens camera nor headphone port. When will the iPhone 7 Plus come out in the UK, and what new features and design changes should we expect? Read on for the latest iPhone 7 Plus release date rumours, new features speculation and evidence, as well as mock-ups and leaked images of 2016's new iPhones as they emerge. In 2016, Apple is highly likely to launch its third Plus-branded iPhone (following 2014's 6 Plus and 2015's 6s Plus) with a 5.5in screen; this will probably be called the iPhone 7 Plus, although there's a slim chance it'll be called iPhone Pro. It'll arrive alongside the (4.7-inch) iPhone 7 later this year, and there's even a chance that a new 4in iPhone will be launched too - the follow-up to the iPhone SE. That'll only be six months old by then, however, so we expect Apple to just focus on the bigger iPhones.

Now: what will the iPhone 7 Plus look like, and what new features should we expect? What will be the differences between the iPhone 6s Plus and the iPhone 7 Plus, and between the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus? How will Apple set the top-of-the-range iPhone 7 Plus apart from the rest of its iPhone range? And most importantly, when will the iPhone 7 Plus launch in the UK?

If you've been pondering these questions, you've come to the right place, because our iPhone 7 Plus release date rumour roundup gathers all the speculation about the new Plus-sized iPhone that Apple will launch in 2016: the iPhone 7 Plus's release date, design, specs and likely features, from wireless charging to a touchscreen display with built-in Touch ID. We'll also post any leaked photos of iPhone 7 Plus components we get hold of, and the coolest and most insightful iPhone 7 Plus concept illustrations and videos that designers come up with.

As we've already mentioned, tvOS got a fair bit of love at WWDC 2016 on 13 June during Apple's keynote for press and developers (some would say a little too much love, given the number of important upgrades in iOS 10 and macOS Sierra that Apple didn't have time to mention). Introducing the new operating system for the Apple TV, Eddy Cue revealed that developers have created 6,000 native apps within the seven months since the App Store was introduced to Apple's set-top box.
But what's new from Apple? Here are the new features coming to your (fourth-gen) Apple TV in autumn.

Siri
Siri has some big improvements in the new update. It can now search your Apple TV's movie and TV database with more complex and more natural-language-based queries. The example Apple gave was "high-school comedies from the 80s" - although it should be pointed out that this didn't work perfectly in the demo.

Siri can also search YouTube, too, and any live streaming channels can be launched by saying "watch" and then whatever the channel is. ESPN, for example. And it can be used to control HomeKit-compatible smart-home appliances, with phrases such as "set thermostat to 72".

New tvOS 10 update release date & new features: 8 cool new features coming to your Apple TV soon | Single Sign-on | Dark Mode | Siri upgrades | Auto app downloads | Upgraded Remote app

Wondering what features Apple will add to the fourth-gen Apple TV when it next updates the device's tvOS operating system? Wonder no longer. In this article we round up all the announcements from Apple at WWDC 2016 about the new tvOS 10 software update - the next version (and the first major update) of the Apple TV's OS - including the new tvOS update release date.tvOS is the operating system software platform that runs on the fourth-gen Apple TV. It's the Apple TV's equivalent of iOS or macOS; it manages the apps you can install on the device and offers various features of its own.

Just as iOS and macOS receive regular free updates, patching bugs, tweaking the interface and unlocking new features, tvOS has just had its first major update: tvOS 10. (tvOS 9 was given that name because it's heavily based on iOS 9 - there was no tvOS 8 or earlier.) It was unveiled by Apple at WWDC 2016 on 13 June. In this article, we discuss the new features that have been added to tvOS and when the update is coming to your Apple TV.

Beyond the iPhone 7

The iPhone 7 hasn't launched yet, but we're already hearing rumors about iPhones that will be released in 2018 and beyond. Apple is said to be working on OLED displays for future versions of the iPhone, at a secret lab it's opened in Taiwan. Apple is also developing more advanced versions of liquid crystal displays, working on a technology called Micro-LED.

Apple is also pursuing an OLED partnership with LG Display and Samsung, and is said to be close to a deal. Under the terms of the deal, LG Display and Samsung would both provide Apple with OLED displays for future devices.

Both OLED and Micro-LED technologies eliminate the need for the backlighting that's used in traditional LCDs, which would potentially allow Apple to cut down on the size of its iOS devices. Micro-LED suffers from low yields and OLED has a shorter life span, so they are both technologies that are not quite ready for near-future iPhone upgrades.

Apple is also rumored to be developing a next-generation version of 3D Touch, which would scale up for use in larger devices like the iPad Pro. Other benefits are not yet known.
