Reuniting with initiating partners at WAIA while establishing new connections in Shenzhen—the heart of global hardware and IoT innovation—is a wonderful milestone.

Honoured to represent our team at IOTE x WAIA 2026 in Shenzhen! As one of the initiating organisations of WAIA, it has been immensely rewarding to reconnect with long-time colleagues and build new relationships at the world's largest IoT expo.
Looking forward to deep-diving into knowledge sharing, technical exchanges, and global networking across the AIoT community over the coming days! 🌐🤖✨

Honoured to be one of the supporting partners for the Xiamen University Malaysia XMUM AI Club and Rotaract Club in the SDC Hackathon 2026.

It is always a pleasure to be back at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) and reconnect with the university community. My engagement with Xiamen University goes back many years, including a personal visit to the Xiamen campus in China, which gave me an opportunity to better understand the university’s ecosystem, innovation and strong academic links.

Over the past few years, I have also been actively supporting and connecting with various Xiamen University programmes and initiatives. Last year, I was pleased to arrange for our MYIOTÀ advisor to met the top management team visit in Xiamen, further strengthening the relationship and exploring opportunities for greater collaboration.

Today, it is encouraging to see the next generation of students embracing AI, innovation and entrepreneurship through initiatives such as the SDV Hackathon 2026.

Looking forward to continuing our support and building stronger connections between industry, academia and the innovation ecosystem, while empowering more young talents to turn ideas into real-world solutions. 🚀🤖.

There is a lot of hype around AI, so it's easy to feel that way. The reality is more nuanced.

Yes, AI is becoming a foundational technology, much like the internet or smartphones. Many organizations are adopting it because it can improve productivity, automate routine work, enhance customer service, and create new products and services. Ignoring AI completely could put individuals and businesses at a disadvantage over time.

However, not everyone needs to jump onto every AI trend. What matters is adopting AI where it creates real value.

A practical way to think about it is:

Learn AI – Everyone should understand the basics and what AI can and cannot do.

Use AI – Apply it to save time, improve decisions, or solve specific problems in your work.

Build with AI – Only if it aligns with your role, business, or industry.

History offers similar examples. During the rise of the internet, cloud computing, smartphones, and IoT, some people rushed in because of hype, while others ignored the technologies. The ones who benefited most were those who understood where the technology genuinely fit their needs.

As someone who has been active in IoT, digital transformation, and now AI, your perspective can be especially valuable: AI alone is not the destination—AI combined with IoT, trusted data, and domain expertise is where real impact happens. That message is likely to resonate with businesses and policymakers alike.

A good mindset is:

> Don't adopt AI because everyone else is. Adopt AI because it helps you solve real problems, create value, and stay relevant in a changing world.

Being left out isn't about not using the latest AI tool. It's about not developing the ability to work effectively alongside AI as it becomes part of everyday business and society. Stanley Seow Malaysia IoT Association @

A heartfelt thank you to MCMC for the kind invitation to attend IRC 2026. It truly felt like a homecoming—reconnecting with many familiar faces, catching up with old friends, exchanging ideas and knowledge, and building new connections.

Events like these remind us that meaningful conversations and strong relationships are just as important as the technology itself. Looking forward to staying in touch, strengthening collaborations, and working together to shape a trusted, resilient, and inclusive digital future.

It was wonderful reconnecting with good friends after so many years. Technology has advanced tremendously over the past decade, and it should continue to be a force for good—improving lives and creating opportunities for everyone.

Let's explore meaningful collaborations to harness AI, IoT, assistive technologies, and smart solutions to empower the blind community with greater independence, accessibility, education, and employment opportunities. Together, we can ensure that no one is left behind in the digital era.

When innovation is guided by purpose, technology becomes a bridge to a more inclusive future for the communities
