The work is settling into place.
Each painting in Sleeping Animals carries a moment of rest — animals pausing, light softening, the desert listening.
In a little over two weeks, I’ll be opening my home here in Los Zacatitos for a quiet afternoon of sharing this work.

Las obras van encontrando su lugar.
Cada pintura de Sleeping Animals guarda un momento de descanso — animales que se detienen, la luz que se suaviza, el desierto que escucha.

Kneeling down to observe the subtle greens, blues, and reds in the rocks beneath my feet reminds me of a Renaissance art palette.
