Wisdom for free
The Ronaldo you support may never know your name, and that’s okay. But your brother, your sister, or your friend who is trying to build a small hustle near you — they know you, and sometimes what they need most is not money, but encouragement, applause, and belief.
The Messi you admire will continue to succeed, and we can celebrate that. But he will never sit at your table. Yet that friend of yours who is doing well, growing steadily, and showing up every day — it costs nothing to admire them too, to say “well done,” to celebrate their progress without jealousy. These are people who one day might sit on the same table with you.
And those teams we proudly call “my team” — Arsenal, Manchester City, Inter Milan — their coaches will never call your name when counting the squad. They don’t know you, and that doesn’t make supporting them wrong. Support is beautiful.
But wisdom invites us to go further.
It would be powerful if, alongside those teams, we also built our own “team” — a circle of like-minded friends in career, business, and purpose. People who know you, grow with you, challenge you, and clap when you win — just as loudly as you clap for football stars.
Celebrate the world, yes.
But don’t forget to celebrate the people around you.
