Minimum requirements:

Education: Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) from an accredited institution in one of the following fields is required: in human resource management, business management, international relations, psychology or another related field is required.
Work Experience: minimum 5 years of increasingly responsible professional work experience in human resource management in an international organization and/or large corporation is required.
Skills: Experience and ability to implement targeted and innovative human resources strategies to address clients’ people-related needs is required.
Ability to implement innovative HR programs within a fast paced, evolving, and wide organizational setting is required.

Position Overview
The Supply Chain & Commodity Tracking Officer will provide expert technical assistance (TA) to ensure the uninterrupted availability of essential health commodities at facilities within the district of focus. This role will coordinate closely Government of Malawi and USG-funded partners responsible for procurement and supply chain functions. It focuses on strengthening the capacity of the Ministry of Health (MOH) to manage quantification, forecasting, and distribution of supplies across integrated service delivery

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate with DHMT and health facility staff to ensure facilities maintain “Min-Max” stock levels of MNCH and Nutrition (including therapeutic foods) commodities
Ensure DHMT and facilities are performing monthly and quarterly quantification exercises using consumption data and morbidity trends to inform procurement and prevent stockouts.
Support DHMTs to identify facilities with excess stock or short-expiry items and coordinate logistics for inter-facility transfers to maximize resource utilization.
Collaborate with Performance Assessment and Management (PAM) teams to integrate supply chain indicators into routine supervision and performance reviews.
Serve as the district-level technical point of contact for the MOH, Reproductive Health (RH) units, and Procurement/Supply Chain partners like Chemonics to align supply plans and resolve delivery bottlenecks.
Design and facilitate on-the-job training and mentorship for facility-level pharmacy and nursing staff on the use of LMIS tools (e.g., DHIS2, mSupply).
Maintain real-time dashboards on facility-level commodity status and prepare high-level reports for project leadership and donors.
Work side-by-side with MOH staff, building their capacity to forecast needs and manage inventory.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 5+ years in health supply chain management, preferably within integrated public health programs.
Technically sound and an expert in quantification, forecasting, and using LMIS tools (DHIS2, etc.).
Experienced in collaborating and partnering with MOH, RH units, and USG-funded procurement and supply chain mechanisms.
Experience working at facility level, providing “elbow-to-elbow” support to facility managers and frontline health workers.
Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a clinical setting.
Knowledge of USG rules, regulations, and policies.
A minimum of 5 years working in donor funded projects
