Thanks to these developments, more people—including those in rural communities—were able to connect online and access platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Netflix. 📱✨
WhatsApp became one of the primary means of communication, with many people relying on it more than traditional phone calls and SMS. 💬📞
The improved connectivity also created opportunities for Malawian musicians to release their music on YouTube 🎵, enabled audiences to stream local content, and contributed to the rise of content creators and social media influencers on TikTok and Facebook. 🎥🔥
