It happened on a Tuesday. ๐ญ
I was washing dishes.
My son had been playing Math Adventure
for about 20 minutes.
Then I heard small footsteps behind me.
I turned around.
He was standing in the doorway.
Tablet in hand. Big eyes. Bigger smile.
He said:
"Dadโฆ can the dragon do division too?"
I dropped a cup.
Not metaphorically.
I literally dropped an actual cup. ๐
Because this is a child who cried
for 15 minutes last week
because I asked him to practice
his times tables.
The SAME child.
The SAME math.
Just a dragon instead of a worksheet.
Just a quest instead of a homework task.
Just stars bursting on the screen
instead of red marks on paper.
That was the moment I knew
I had built something real. ๐
