OpenAI Expands Daybreak Cyber Defense With GPT-5.6-Cyber

OpenAI has expanded Daybreak, its cyber defense service, adding two tiers: Blue for incident response, malware analysis and patch validation, and Red for security testing and vulnerability research. The Red tier introduces GPT-5.6-Cyber, a new model built on GPT-5.6 Sol, initially available to trusted partners including Accenture, IBM, CrowdStrike and Cloudflare. The launch comes as AI agents increasingly carry out autonomous attacks, leaving defenders a narrowing window to prepare, OpenAI said.
