[KECD 황강사범대 국제순회전]
2025년 12월에 진행되었던 하얼빈 국제 디자인 전시를 황강사범대학교에서 하얼빈 국제 디자인 순회전이 성대하게 개막되었습니다.
한국현대디자인협회KECD가 주최하고 황강사범대학 미술학원과 흑룡강대학교 예술학원이 주관하는 《하얼빈 국제 디자인 순회전》이 2026년 4월 25일 오전 9시에 황강사범대학 미술학원에서 성대하게 개최되었습니다.

개막식은 황강사범대학 미술학원 원장 위안차오후이 교수가 주재했습니다.
한국현대디자인협회 회장 이민형 교수, 황강사범대학 당위원회 서기 천차오양 교수, 흑룡강대학교 예술대학 전 학장, 전시 총기획자인 유복신 교수가 잇따라 축사를 했습니다.
한국현대디자인협회 부회장 추호영 교수, 한국현대디자인협회 기획이사 정남석 교수, 어저우시 박물관 부관장인 팡옌 교수, 헤이룽장대학교 예술대학 왕슈쥔 교수가 개막식 테이프 커팅식에 참석했으며, 초청을 받은 내빈, 전문가, 교수, 교사와 학생 등 백여 명이 개막식에 참석했습니다.
오전 10시 30분부터 학술강연이 진행되었는데,
이민형 교수, 왕슈쥔 교수, 추호영 부회장, 팡옌 교수, 위안차오후 원장님 강연을 진행했습니다.
《얼빈 국제 디자인 순회전》은 1년간의 긴박하고 즐거운 준비와 많은 어려움을 극복하고, 한중 및 각국 친구들의 공동 노력으로 마침내 성대하고 원만하게 개최되었습니다. 이번 전시회에는 16개국 및 지역의 디자이너 174점의 작품이 전시되었습니다. 《하얼빈 국제 디자인 순회전》의 성공적인 개최는 한중 및 국제 디자인 교류와 협력이 새로운 발전 단계에 접어들었음을 의미합니다.
이번 행사에 참석해준 이민형 회장님, 추호영 부회장님과 정남석 이사님께 감사드립니다.

[KECD Huanggang Normal University International Touring Exhibition]

The Harbin International Design Exhibition, originally held in December 2025, has now been grandly presented as a touring exhibition at Huanggang Normal University.
Hosted by the Korea Contemporary Design Association (KECD) and organized by the School of Fine Arts at Huanggang Normal University and the College of Arts at Heilongjiang University, the “Harbin International Design Touring Exhibition” officially opened at 9:00 AM on April 25, 2026, at the School of Fine Arts, Huanggang Normal University.
Exhibition Period: April 25 – May 20, 2026
The opening ceremony was hosted by Professor Yuan Chaohui, Dean of the School of Fine Arts at Huanggang Normal University.
Congratulatory speeches were delivered by Professor Lee Min-hyung, President of KECD; Professor Chen Chaoyang, Party Secretary of Huanggang Normal University; and Professor Liu Fuxin, former Dean of the College of Arts at Heilongjiang University and Chief Curator of the exhibition.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Professor Choo Ho-young, Vice President of KECD; Professor Jung Nam-seok, Planning Director of KECD; Professor Fang Yan, Deputy Director of Ezhou Museum; and Professor Wang Shujun from the College of Arts at Heilongjiang University. More than 100 distinguished guests, including invited experts, professors, faculty members, and students, were present at the opening ceremony.
Starting at 10:30 AM, an academic lecture session was held, featuring presentations by Professor Lee Min-hyung, Professor Wang Shujun, Vice President Choo Ho-young, Professor Fang Yan, and Dean Yuan Chaohui.
The Harbin International Design Touring Exhibition was successfully realized through a year of dedicated preparation, overcoming numerous challenges, and the collaborative efforts of friends and designers from Korea, China, and around the world. This exhibition showcases 174 works by designers from 16 countries and regions.
The successful opening of this exhibition marks a new stage in international design exchange and cooperation, particularly between Korea and China.

하얼빈 국제 디자인 순회전, 황강사범대학교에서 개막

따뜻한 봄기운 속에서 예술과 디자인이 어우러지는 뜻깊은 자리가 마련되었습니다. 지난 4월 25일 오전, 하얼빈 국제 디자인 순회전이 황강사범대학교에서 성황리에 개막했습니다. 이번 개막식에는 학교 관계자들이 참석해 자리를 빛냈으며, 행사에서는 학교의 발전 역사와 전공 구성, 인재 양성, 학과 발전, 교수진, 그리고 미래 비전에 대한 소개도 함께 이루어졌습니다.
이번 전시는 ‘얼음과 눈’을 주제로, 중국을 비롯해 한국, 러시아, 독일 등 16개 국가 및 지역에서 총 174점의 디자인 작품이 출품되었습니다. 특히 황강사범대학교에서도 10점의 우수 작품이 전시되어, 디자인 혁신과 국제 교류 측면에서의 성과를 잘 보여주었습니다. 또한 전시 기간 동안 ‘한·중 디자인 발전 학술 포럼’**이 함께 개최되어, 국제적인 디자인 교류 플랫폼 구축과 교육 및 연구 협력 확대를 위한 논의가 진행되었습니다.
행사 관계자는 앞으로도 세계 각국의 디자인 분야와 협력을 강화해, 창의적인 디자인을 통해 새로운 산업 발전을 이끌고 더 나은 삶을 만드는 데 기여하겠다는 포부를 밝혔습니다. 한편, 이번 전시 총기획자는 중·한 디자인 교류의 성과를 되짚으며 향후 협력에 대한 기대를 전했고, 한국 디자인 협회 관계자 역시 양국 간 디자인 교류에 대한 긍정적인 전망과 축하 메시지를 전달했습니다.

Harbin International Design Exhibition Opens at Huanggang Normal University

Amid the vibrant atmosphere of spring, a remarkable celebration of art and design has begun. On the morning of April 25, the Harbin International Design Exhibition Tour officially opened at Huanggang Normal University. University leaders attended the opening ceremony, where an overview of the institution’s development, academic programs, talent cultivation, faculty, and future vision was presented. Centered on the theme “Ice and Snow,” this exhibition brings together 174 cutting-edge design works from 16 countries and regions, including China, South Korea, Russia, and Germany. Huanggang Normal University contributed 10 outstanding works, highlighting its achievements in design innovation and international exchange.
In parallel with the exhibition, the China–Korea Design Development Academic Forum was held, aiming to build a high-level international platform for design exchange and to promote collaboration in design education and research. Organizers expressed their hope to further strengthen global cooperation in design, using creativity to empower new forms of productivity, create greater value, and enhance everyday life. The chief curator reflected on the fruitful exchanges and cooperation between China and Korea in design, while representatives from the Korean design community shared their expectations and congratulations for continued collaboration.

On April 9, 2026, a partnership agreement ceremony was held between KECD and the Korea Women Visual Designers Association at FastFive Apgujeong Branch (Meeting Room L1A).

대만의 린팡숭 교수가 라이칭더 총통에 의해 중화민국 예술·디자인 대사로 임명되었습니다. 이번 대사직은 대만의 예술·디자인 분야를 국내외에 알리고, 국제 교류 활동을 통해 국가의 새로운 문화 이미지를 창조하는 역할을 맡게 됩니다. 린팡숭 교수는 앞으로 대만 문화예술이 지닌 비범한 가치를 세계에 널리 알릴 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 다하겠다는 뜻을 밝혔습니다. 임기는 2028년 5월 19일까지입니다.

Professor Lin Fang-Sung of Taiwan has been appointed
Ambassador for Arts and Design of the Republic of China (Taiwan) by President Lai Ching-te. This ambassadorship is tasked with promoting Taiwan’s arts and design both domestically and internationally, advancing international exchange, and helping to shape a new cultural image for the nation. Professor Lin stated that he will devote his utmost efforts to presenting the extraordinary value of Taiwan’s culture and arts
to the global community. The term of appointment runs until May 19, 2028.
We extend our sincere congratulations to APEX Professor Lin Fang-Sung on his appointment as Taiwan’s Ambassador for Arts and Design.

한국현대디자인협회(KECD)는 24일 인덕대학교에서 제17대 이민형 회장 취임식을 열고 새 회장 체제 출범을 공식화했다고 26일 밝혔다.
이날 취임식에는 협회 회원과 디자인계 관계자들이 참석해 신임 회장의 취임을 축하하고 향후 협회 운영 방향을 공유했다.
이민형 회장은 "이러한 사업들은 단순한 행사를 넘어 선배 세대의 가치와 경험을 다음 세대와 세계로 연결하는 중요한 과정이 될 것"이라며, "전통을 잇고 변화를 실천하며 다음을 준비하는 협회를 회원들과 함께 만들어 가겠다"고 강조했다.
이 회장은 취임사를 통해 "협회가 쌓아온 역사와 선배 세대의 성과를 계승하겠다"는 뜻을 밝혔다.
또한, 이 회장은 ▲다음 세대 ▲국제 ▲연결 을 향후 협회 운영의 핵심 키워드로 제시하며, 교육·연구·실천이 유기적으로 이어지는 협회 역할을 강조했다.
협회는 2026년을 목표로 국제 디자인 교류 확대를 위한 다양한 행사를 검토·추진할 계획이다. 오는 4월 ico-D 월드디자인데이(World Design Day)를 대전에서 개최, 세계디자인협회(ico-D)와 연계한 행사를 열고, 디자인의 사회적 가치와 동시대적 역할을 국내외 전문가들과 공유한다.
7월에는 K-Wave & Design 컨퍼런스 및 국제 포스터 디자인전 한국 디자인과 문화(K-Culture)의 확장 가능성을 국제 무대에 제시하며 글로벌 네트워크를 강화한다. 12월에는 대만 학술 교류 및 국제 포스터 전시를 대만 현지에서 개최, 아시아 디자인 네트워크를 공고히 할 예정이다.

The Korea Association of Contemporary Design (KECD) announced on the 26th that it officially launched a new leadership structure after holding the inauguration ceremony of its 17th President, Minhyung Lee, on the 24th at Induk University.
The ceremony was attended by association members and figures from the design community, who gathered to congratulate the new president and share perspectives on the future direction of the association. In his inaugural address, President Lee stated,
“These initiatives go beyond being simple events; they are an essential process that connects the values and experiences of the senior generation with the next generation and the wider world.” He added, “Together with our members, I will work to build an association that carries on tradition, puts change into practice, and prepares for what comes next.”
President Lee also expressed his commitment to inheriting the association’s accumulated history and the achievements of previous generations. He presented ‘the next generation,’ ‘international engagement,’ and ‘connection’ as the core keywords guiding KECD’s future operations, emphasizing the association’s role in organically linking education, research, and practice. Looking ahead to 2026, KECD plans to review and promote a range of initiatives aimed at expanding international design exchange. In April, the association will host ico-D World Design Day in Daejeon, organizing an event in collaboration with ico-D to share discussions on the social value of design and its contemporary role with experts from Korea and abroad.
In July, KECD will hold the K-Wave & Design Conference and an International Poster Design Exhibition, presenting the global potential of Korean design and culture (K-Culture) while strengthening international networks. In December, the association plans to host an academic exchange program and an international poster exhibition in Taiwan, further solidifying the Asian design network. 이민형 인덕대학교 시각디자인학과 교수가 1월 24일 (사)한국현대디자인협회(KECD) 신임 회장으로 공식 취임했다. 1969년 창립 이후 한국 시각디자인의 역사와 함께 성장해온 KECD가 새로운 시대적 과제를 맞이하게 되면서, 이 교수의 취임은 협회의 미래 비전과 발전 전략을 구체화하는 중요한 계기가 될 전망이다. Professor Minhyung Lee of the Department of Visual Design at Induk University officially assumed office as the new President of the Korea Association of Contemporary Design (KECD) on January 24.
As KECD—an organization that has grown alongside the history of Korean visual design since its founding in 1969—faces new challenges in a changing era, Professor Lee’s inauguration is expected to serve as a significant turning point in shaping the association’s future vision and development strategies.
Since its early years, KECD has expanded the horizons of Korean design based on two core values: experimental spirit and international design exchange. Through a wide range of domestic and international design events and collaborative projects, the association has played a central role in deepening Korea’s design culture and fostering a design ecosystem with global sensibilities.
President Lee has been actively engaged in supporting students’ advancement onto the international stage, particularly through collaboration with the Taiwan International Student Design Competition (TISDC). By fulfilling its role as the Korean partner and achieving outstanding results, KECD has been recognized for establishing a strong foundation for closer connections with future generations of designers.

Building on its accumulated experience, KECD has also continuously expanded its flagship Triennale Exhibition, developing it into a comprehensive platform that reflects the current state of Korean visual design. Another notable achievement includes the association’s collaboration with the Republic of Korea Army Headquarters to host, organize, and operate the Korea National Patriots Art Exhibition, thereby broadening the professional scope and activities of its members. Furthermore, sustained design exchanges with China, Taiwan, and Japan have firmly positioned KECD as a leading visual design institution representing Korea.
In his inaugural remarks, President Lee stated,
“Building on the historical value KECD has accumulated over the past 56 years, we will fully prepare to lead the next era of the design environment. The association will stand at the center of creating new directions and international competitiveness for Korean design.”
With the appointment of its new president, KECD plans to pursue systematic strategies that both honor its legacy and shape what comes next amid rapidly evolving design paradigms. The association’s forward-looking initiatives to prepare for the future of the design ecosystem are drawing increasing attention from both the domestic and international design communities.
