Second published article from Tanzanian news paper, Mwananchi news paper about iTEC face masks manufacturing project at Arumeru District Hospital.
From Arusha, Health sector in Arumeru District will be benefited from the project that aims at making face masks for health workers, the project is sponsored by iTEC Tanzania for 40 million Tanzanian shillings worth of investment.
District commissioner of Arumeru, Jerry Muro spoken the day before yesterday at an official opening of a face masks manufacturing center inside Arumeru district hospital of Patandi and he received 6000 masks that was initially made at
the center.
He said "this is a huge step that has been done by this organization (iTEC) in helping the government to provide good care
for its citizen"
He said again "We have succeded in starting a small factor for making face masks inside Patandi hospital just like Muhimbili has done to start a small factor for making special medical suits for health workers, this was successfully archieved through help and sponsorship form iTEC. "
He continued by saying "Doctor, nurses and all health worker in goverment and private hospital inside Arumeru District will be given the first priority at receiving the face masks that is produced here."
He continued by saying "The face masks will also be distributed to other goverment places and health center inneed"
Muro congraturate health service providers for being hard worker and stay at the front line in the fight against Corona Virus.
District medical officer of Arumeru Dustrict, Dr Focus Maneno also said "Arumeru District hospital Patandi have a total of 61 health services centers that belongs to the that hospital, all the health services center and other hospitals near by will be benefitted with this project by receiving the face masks that will be distrubted to them by us".
Project manager of the factory Okuli Meena also said the face mask that is produced at the factory confirmed to be of good quality and good starndard required to protect the user from beign contaminated.
