Why are Goals Important? - Must read

On the best sunny day, the most powerful magnifying glass will not light paper if you keep moving the glass. But if you focus and hold it, the paper will light up. That is the power of concentration.

A man was traveling and stopped at an intersection. He asked an elderly man, "Where does this road take me?" The elderly person asked, "Where do you want to go?" The man replied, "I don't know." The elderly person said, "Then take any road. What difference does it make?"

How true. When we don't know where we are going, any road will take us there.

Suppose you have all the football eleven players, enthusiastically ready to play the game, all charged up, and then someone took the goal post away. What would happen to the game? There is nothing left. How do you keep score? How do you know you have arrived?

Enthusiasm without direction is like wildfire and leads to frustration. Goals give a sense of direction. Would you sit in a train or a plane without knowing where it was going? The obvious answer is no. Then why do people go through life without having any goals?Do you have SMART GOAL?........

Allow me to share below picked up from friend in a different forum........I found it inspiring. Maybe you too can pick one or two. ..

Dear members,
I found that most people are willing to start businesses either as full time hustles or as side hustles. Some could have even saved hundreds of thousands or even a million while in employment with a sole purpose of resigning and getting into business. While they are on the right track, I have some advice for you:

1: When you get into business, it doesn't matter whether you started with 10k or 1M, be ready and don't fear to fail!
2: Business is an avenue of patience and profound persistence, not a platform for making profit.
3: Sitting down with a pen and a paper calculating how much you would make if you started this or that business with your saved million will never get you any where, jump into the mud!!!
4: Googling for business information is pure mediocrity. Most Women and men who mint millions in gikomba and marikiti don't even own a smart phones!
5: There is no business for guys in designer suits and ladies in high heels-ask Donald Trump. Those are outfits for the employed-get a leaf from your bosses.
6: Never dream that you will resign and get into business and start counting profit without a transition somewhere in between...cushion yourself for that
7: You can never be too careful in business.
8: No business venture is too risky or least risky!
9: A profit of 10bob from your invested million is the most or****ic experience you will ever have. The ecstasy is slightly higher than first time s*x... Believe me!
10: If you resign, change your friends immediately! Get to know where Jua Kali people who own hardwares, car importers, Tender suppliers, Real Estate, Petroleum oil dealers, etc hang out. I will tell you the reason later!
11: When you resign, remember that your former colleagues will be too careful to lend you even 100bob. How will you pay? They have got no assurance!
12: While a jua Kali person can lend you 200k without caring when and how you will pay, your former colleagues who are also saving to get into business will never exceed 5k unless you give them a kidney as a security!!!!
