Android 17 Coming soon!

Google has released the fourth and final beta version of Android 17. This milestone indicates that the next scheduled release will be the stable version of the operating system. So, what exactly does this release bring to the table and why should users care?

With the arrival of Beta 4, we now have a clear look at the new features and design changes coming to Android 17. Furthermore, this signals that Samsung can soon begin the One UI 9 update cycle based on this latest Android version.

Android 17 Beta 4 Now Available

The Android 17 Beta 4 update is now live for compatible devices, which include all Pixel series phones and tablets released since the Pixel 6. If you own one of these devices, you can register for the beta program. Users already running a previous Android 17 beta should receive an over-the-air (OTA) notification to download the Beta 4 update immediately.

Key Features: Memory Management and Security

The most significant under-the-hood improvement is likely the new App Memory Limits feature. It ensures every app receives the appropriate amount of RAM based on the device’s total available memory. Android 17 Beta 4 also introduces Post-Quantum Cryptography, providing a future-proof layer of protection against sophisticated hacking attempts.

Developers also gain easier ways to identify performance bottlenecks, such as excessive memory usage. Beyond these technical shifts, the UI changes compared to Beta 3 are minimal, as Google has shifted its primary focus toward bug fixes and system stability.

The Road to One UI 9

Now that Android 17 has reached platform stability, smartphone manufacturers like Samsung can accelerate the One UI 9 development process. Google is expected to showcase the full suite of Android 17 features at its annual developer conference on May 19, with a stable public release likely following in June.

While we do get the reason for county governments to collect rates and levies so as to fund local activities.

We wish to propose afew things, that we note would aid in compliance, in lieu of present global economic realities;

1. Lowering of annual single business Permits and Cess rates by atleast 15- 20%.
2. Lowering of fire inspection certificate rate by 50% for small business.
3. Provision of a universal portal per county to pay for the same.
4. Simplification and summarization of county and relevant laws into a single document that can be downloaded with relevant application.

5. Setting up a local business, or manufacturing hub in each sub county for cottage industries.
6. Planning should ensure no more subdivision of land past 1km from present peri- URBAN boundaries. Even in future.
7. All subdivision or land meant for parcelling in should be master planned just as in Buruburu. And tree lined streets with indigenous fruits and flowers for biodiversityand bees and birds.
Local seeds like mung beans ndengu and black beans are nitrogen fixing and feed birds so do flowers in wild paw paw lemon, guava and bush mango.
With allocation for parks, 1 acre between them and central shopping centre to prevent urban sprawl.
8. Also high rises should have ventilation and balconies for energy conservation.

9. Also boreholes should include filtered replenishment routing to prevent sink holes. I.e a 30*30ft pond around central park. It also restores ground water.
10. Avoid present mistakes like boma yangu(copied Arab and western construction, with no balcony due to sand or winter).
