At the GROW with Safaricom Business Forum in Thika on Friday last week, we showcased to the business community the Safaricom Business solutions that power their progress by helping them stay connected, transact seamlessly and operate with greater confidence and security before crowning the day with a Shangwe @25 celebration.

The highlight of the day was handing over 3 Bajajs to Milele Feeds Limited, Clearways Insurance Agency, and Waynta Builders (K) Limited and KES 250K stock boosts to Thinkk Travels, Radio Ashe and Lucy Jilan whose journeys continue to inspire us. These are part of the 65 businesses we awarded during the concluded Shangwe @25 Business promotion.

Safaricom Business recently held a strategic engagement with Mitchell Cotts, an integrated end-to-end logistics company at their JKIA facility, reaffirming a strong, long‑standing partnership and aligning on the future of technology‑enabled freight, warehousing, and logistics.

Our discussions centred on end-to-end operational visibility, AI-driven efficiency and smarter logistics, secure connectivity and platforms and cashless B2B payment ecosystems powered by M-PESA.

We commend Mitchell Cott’s expansive regional footprint across Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, and Sudan, alongside the effective operationalisation of its Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and its demonstrated leadership in agribusiness exports, warehousing, and cross-border trade.

There’s something powerful about seeing technology come to life.

That’s exactly what Geoffrey Asira, an IT Engineer at Metronic Labs, experienced when he walked into the Grow with Safaricom Business Solutions Showcase on 14th April. He didn’t just listen he experienced firsthand what modern connectivity can truly do for his business.

Geoffrey wasn’t alone. He was joined by over 20 other customers, all taken through a hands-on journey from seamless, always-on connectivity that keeps businesses running without interruption, to Managed Wi-Fi with intelligent analytics tailored for different industries.

We also explored Fibre to the Room (FTTR) for deeper in-building coverage, and SD-WAN offering a more agile and efficient evolution from traditional MPLS.
