We are still reeling from last week’s AI 101 Masterclass for Pastors!

With a room full of ministry leaders actively dismantling the fear around artificial intelligence and turning skepticism into strategy, they stepped away with tools on handling AI without compromising on human values.

We facilitated this event to ensure that the massive digital shift can spark difficult but much needed conversations. One of the most engaging breakout sessions was the “Is AI the Antichrist?” session, which proved very emotive.

Here are the highlights of the breakout sessions:
1️⃣ Is AI the Antichrist?: We opened up the question many are already asking. What is real concern, and what is fear or speculation?
2️⃣ AI & Christian Ethics: As technology moves faster, where do we draw the line? We explored what responsible use looks like in real ministry contexts.
3️⃣ Practical Tools for Ministry: We looked at tools like NotebookLLM and how they can realistically support research and sermon prep.
4️⃣ AI in Pastoral Care: We unpacked how technology can assist without replacing the human connection that pastoral work depends on.

The AI Masterclass for Pastors is over, but the work of building a responsible future is just beginning. Watch out for the next masterclass!

2025 marked a turning point for conversations around AI governance in Africa.

Across the continent, countries began moving from conversations to action. Policies were being drafted, strategies were being launched, and institutions started taking shape.

One of the biggest milestones was the establishment of the Africa AI Council, where leaders from across the continent came together to help coordinate Africa’s approach to AI development. The message is becoming clear.

Africa must not simply adopt governance models from elsewhere. It needs to shape AI frameworks that reflect its own realities, priorities, and development goals.

Can AI transform the Church without losing its congregation?

In today’s breakout session on Church Policy & Governance, leaders explored this exact question. The insight was clear: AI can amplify our reach, but only thoughtful governance and intentional leadership ensure technology serves people not the other way around.

Innovation is powerful. Policy keeps it wise. And the congregation? Always at the heart.

Practical AI tools for Ministry

In this session, we explored how AI can help
transform a single teaching into something that speaks to children, youth, and entire communities without losing its meaning.

Because effective communication isn’t just about what is said…
it’s about who understands it.

Today, leaders, innovators, and pastors are gathering to explore how AI is shaping ministry, leadership, and discipleship in a rapidly changing world.

Leading the conversation, Dr. Shikoh Gitau of Qhala is unpacking the role of AI in today’s society challenging leaders to think critically about how technology can be used with purpose, responsibility, and impact.

From digital discipleship to practical AI tools for ministry, the sessions are opening up honest conversations on ethics, human flourishing, and what it means for the Church to remain relevant in the AI era.

It’s not just about understanding AI , it’s about stewarding it well.
The future of the Church is not coming , it’s already here

This , we celebrate the power of access and what it unlocks. Mary Karimi’s journey shows that when women are given the right tools, the impact is immediate and far-reaching.

Through training, she strengthened her teaching practice and made learning easier for her students to understand. What once felt complex is now practical, clear, and effective. She now integrates technology into her lessons with purpose, improving how she teaches and how her students learn.

The theme reminds us that, when you invest in women educators, you gain better classrooms, clearer learning, and stronger outcomes for the next generation. This is how change takes root.
