TESPOK CEO Dr. Fiona Asonga, PhD today joined key stakeholders in the ICT sector during a session before the Senate Standing Committee on ICT to deliberate on the Legislative Framework for AI Adoption and Ethics in Kenya.
The engagement, chaired by Senator Allan Chesang and attended by ICT and Digital Economy Principal Secretary Eng. John Tanui alongside senior government officials, focused on the development of Kenya’s National AI and Emerging Technologies Policy as the central framework for responsible AI adoption.

The discussions underscored the importance of creating a progressive and predictable regulatory environment that fosters innovation, promotes ethical and trusted AI use, attracts investment, nurtures local talent, and strengthens Kenya’s position as a leading digital and technology hub.

As the country advances the implementation of the National AI Strategy (2025–2030), TESPOK remains committed to supporting policies and partnerships that drive an inclusive, innovation-led, and globally competitive digital economy.
