This September, under Rotary’s Basic Education and Literacy Pillar, we are delighted to spotlight an education and digital learning advocate with a wealth of experience in transforming how technology supports teaching and learning.
As East Africa Liaison Officer for Opiq, an Estonian digital learning platform, the speaker brings nearly six years of experience working with Kenyan education publishers on learning-content digitalisation and training, alongside five years of partnering with schools across Kenya to empower teachers and learners to effectively use digital learning technologies and interactive curriculum resources.
The session will explore the future of education, digital learning, resilient schools and 21st-century skills, while highlighting practical ways technology can enrich learning, without replacing the teacher, but strengthening the teacher’s role at the heart of education.
