The conversations are live at AfricaRice HQ in Mbé, Côte d’Ivoire — and so is the energy!
eProd is on the ground at the Regional Capacity-Building Workshop on Strengthening Rice Seed Networks in Africa, represented by Almut van Casteren (Chief Operations Officer), Jan Willem van Casteren (Chief Executive Officer), and Jimmy Namegabe Wakilongo (Client Relations Officer – Francophone Team).
With over 100 stakeholders from 18 countries — including Guinea-Bissau, Côte d’Ivoire, Niger, Mali, Togo, Senegal, Guinea, Burkina Faso, The Gambia, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria, Benin, Uganda, Madagascar, Mauritania, and Cameroon — the focus is clear: building smarter, more connected rice seed systems across Africa.
Organized by AfricaRice in collaboration with the African Development Bank (AfDB), TAAT, Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), the Mastercard Foundation, and eProd Solutions Ltd, the workshop brings together seed companies, research institutes, meteorological services, and digital innovators.
The eProd team is sharing practical insights on digital traceability, farmer advisory tools, and how platforms like ours help agribusinesses deliver better outcomes for farmers. From climate-smart varieties to stronger farmer-to-market linkages, the workshop is about building resilient, data-driven systems that serve farmers and feed futures.
