🌍 DAY 3 | CLIMATE SOLUTIONS, INNOVATION & ACTION
Day 3 of the National Climate Literacy Campaign 2026 brought learners, youth, innovators and community stakeholders into practical conversations on how climate solutions can create healthier ecosystems, stronger livelihoods and new opportunities.
🌱 Agroecology — James Nyongesa from Manor House Agricultural Centre shared practical approaches to sustainable food production, highlighting farming methods that work with nature, improve soil health and strengthen resilience to climate change.
💧 Wetland Regeneration — Tabitha from WRA, alongside Philip Gitau from Omiflow, explored the importance of wetlands, their role in supporting ecosystems and communities, and the need to protect and restore these critical natural resources.
⚡Regreening & E-Mobility — Mr. Omanga from Alpha E-Mobility engaged participants on the transition from fossil-fuel-dependent transport to cleaner mobility solutions, demonstrating how electric transport can contribute to greener and more sustainable communities.
♻️Circular Economy — Marion Morara from Bride of Hope shared how communities can rethink waste as a resource through reuse, recycling, recovery and value addition—creating both environmental benefits and livelihood opportunities.
💡 Technology for Impact — Mercy Mueni from SAVIT Global Solutions, together with Patrick from Faith Engineering and Shadrack from Afribot Robotics, demonstrated how technology, engineering, AI and robotics can be applied to solve real community and environmental challenges.
🌳 The learning continued beyond the classroom through tree planting at Kitale Museum, reinforcing the message that climate literacy must translate into practical action.
⚽ The day concluded with sports and games, bringing participants together through teamwork, participation and community engagement.
