Ever feel like your business systems are speaking different languages?

You’re not alone. At Afriq Silicon, connecting different software and databases is a huge part of our job. It’s not always glamorous, but when it works, it’s magic. Orders flow, payments process, and your team stops manually copying data from one place to another.

Here’s what we’ve learned from doing this for clients across Kenya and the continent:

M-Pesa has its own rhythm. Those payment confirmations can be late or come out of order. You have to design your systems to handle that.

Old systems don’t always have apps. Sometimes, the only way to get data out is a CSV file. We plan for that.

The law matters. Kenya’s Data Protection Act isn’t just a compliance thing, it changes how we build systems.

A good integration is invisible. If no one is complaining about it, you know you've done it right.
