I think the most important thing is to slow down and pay attention to the small moments around you.
Most of these images were not planned.
I simply walked through the fairground and looked for light, colors, details, and emotions.
I try to photograph moments that make me feel something rather than chasing perfect compositions.
A Summer Memory Archive was created from a feeling rather than a concept.
As I walked through the fairground, I was reminded of childhood summers, warm evenings, and the kind of memories that slowly fade over time.
I wanted the images to feel nostalgic, almost like fragments of a memory rather than a documentary record of a place.
Photography has become a way for me to slow down and appreciate simple moments. This series is my attempt to preserve those fleeting feelings before they disappear.
I shoot almost exclusively with Fujifilm cameras and often create my own film simulation recipes.
For this series, I focused on warm colors, soft light, and a cinematic atmosphere to support the emotional feeling behind the images.

一番大切なのは、立ち止まって身の回りの小さな瞬間に目を向けることだと思います。
これらの写真のほとんどは計画して撮ったものではありません。
私はただお祭り会場を歩きながら、光や色、ディテール、そして感情を探していました。
完璧な構図を追い求めるのではなく、自分の心が動く瞬間を撮るようにしています。
「A Summer Memory Archive」は、コンセプトではなく感情から生まれた作品です。
会場を歩いていると、子どもの頃の夏や暖かな夕暮れ、そして時とともに薄れていく思い出がよみがえってきました。
そのため、この作品には、場所の記録というよりも、記憶の断片のようなノスタルジックな雰囲気を持たせたいと思いました。
写真は私にとって、立ち止まって何気ない瞬間の大切さに気づくための手段です。
このシリーズは、そうした儚い感情を残しておきたいという試みでもあります。
私は主にFujifilmのカメラを使用し、自分でフィルムシミュレーションのレシピを作ることもあります。
このシリーズでは、写真に込めた感情を表現するために、温かみのある色彩と柔らかな光、そして映画のような雰囲気を意識しました。

The advice I’d give is that it’s more than just a camera; it’s a key that unlocks many walks of life, and by allowing myself to see it from this perspective, I could capture many things people often overlook in our day-to-day lives.
My work is to capture the essence of ordinary things and shine light on them in a cinematic way to remind us how special life is.

私にとってカメラは、単なる撮影機材ではなく、さまざまな世界への扉を開いてくれる存在です。
その視点を持つことで、日常の中で見過ごされがちな瞬間を捉えられるようになりました。

I leaned in to using primarily static shots using a tripod, which led me to focus on framing/rule of thirds to enhance the storytelling.
The few photographs I have from my childhood have a lot of sentimental value to me.
So I wanted to challenge myself to document more little moments with my son!
I hope he grows an appreciation for these short films I make with him throughout the years.
I know I would have loved to have that from my childhood.

私は主に三脚を使った固定撮影を取り入れ、それによって構図や三分割法を意識しながら、より物語性を高めることに集中しました。
私が子どもの頃の写真は数えるほどしかありませんが、その一枚一枚にとても大きな思い入れがあります。
だからこそ、息子との何気ない瞬間をもっと記録していこうと、自分自身に挑戦したいと思いました！

My biggest tip is to always have your camera with you.
I never leave the house without it, because it’s the everyday, unplanned moments that turn into the most beautiful shots.
I created this video to capture my year in Japan, the beauty of the country, the experiences I had, and the wonderful people I got to meet along the way.
It was my way of looking back and holding onto all of it.

私は家を出るときにカメラを置いていくことはありません。
なぜなら、何気ない日常の予期しない瞬間こそが、最も美しい写真になるからです。

I was able to create these images by heading out on a cold morning.
To capture the bird’s breath, I had to find a subject that was backlit to enhance the effect.
I was kayaking through the marsh when I finally found my subject: a little marsh sparrow actively singing in the sunlight.
I stopped my kayak in the vegetation and quietly stayed there, capturing this little bird as it sang right in front of me.

寒い朝に出かけて、これらの写真を撮ることができました。
鳥の吐く息を捉えるためには、その効果を際立たせるために逆光になっている被写体を見つける必要がありました。
湿地をカヤックで漕いでいたとき、ようやく被写体を見つけました。
陽光の中で盛んにさえずっている、小さなマシュスズメです。
私はカヤックを草むらの中で止め、静かにそのままの姿勢で、目の前でさえずるその小さな鳥を撮り続けました。

Location：Koreatown Metro Rail Station

This spot only reveals itself during spring and summer mornings between 10am–12pm.
A beam of light that cuts down through the escalator shaft and moves through the station.
Depending on the time, it can be two meters wide or a thin sliver.
On this day it was narrow, so every frame came down to precise timing.
I love this location for the diversity of people who move through it.
LA’s public transit draws everyone and when the light is right, everybody looks like the main character.
The man giving the middle finger was a moment of tension.
My rule is to put the camera down if someone doesn’t want to be photographed.
But something told me this was the shot.
I’m still wrestling with that decision and maybe I always will be.
Sometimes the image has a way of quieting that feeling, even if it never fully goes away.

この場所が姿を現すのは、春から夏にかけての午前10時から12時の間だけです。
エスカレーターの吹き抜けを貫く一筋の光が、駅の中を移動していきます。
時間によって、その光は幅2メートルほどになることもあれば、細い一筋になることもあります。
この日は細かったので、どのフレームも正確なタイミングがすべてでした。
私は、この場所を行き交う人々の多様さが好きです。
ロサンゼルスの公共交通機関にはあらゆる人が集まり、光の条件が整うと、誰もが物語の主人公のように見えます。
真ん中で中指を立てている男性は、緊張感のある瞬間でした。
私のルールは、誰かが写真を撮られたくないと思っているなら、カメラを下ろすことです。
ですが、その時は「これがあの一枚だ」と感じる何かがありました。
私は今でもその判断について葛藤していますし、おそらくこれからもずっとそうでしょう。
ときには、その写真そのものが、その葛藤を静めてくれることがあります。
たとえその感情が完全になくなることはなかったとしても。
