AMI MUSIK DS5 to receive "Excellent" conclusion review from Stereo & Video Magazine (from Czech) Dec. 2014 review.

At the beginning the article introduces AMI, speaks about the ambition to improve sound from PC based sources and mentions international success of DDH-1.
Second paragraph, with headline "Multifunctional indicators" speaks about minimalistic design (meaning look), well thoughtful ergonomics, chip-set, capabilities, headphone amp and 300 Ohm max impedance of headphones.
Third paragraph, with headline "DSD and PCM" mentions that DS5 has no analogue input like DDH-1, speaks about benefits of an external power supply, regrets there are no balanced outputs which are usual at active 2-way speakers. Then it speaks about DSD64 and DSD128 capabilities.
Conclusion:
Naturally musical component delivers well balanced sound with a good bass control as well as sense for small details and microdynamics. Scene is perfectly portrayed.
Headphone output, tested by Sennheiser Momentum and Koss Pro4S (with impedance 18 and 35 Ohms), is also well done and increases the value of the DA converter.
Summary: Excellent
