"51 business days per person per year" - - - What does this number represent?

The fact that so much time is being spent on managing tools, which are supposed to support our work in the first place, is quite striking, isn’t it?

In WalkMe’s latest survey, “State of Digital Adoption 2026,” it was shown that the amount of “time being dragged around by tools” is gradually expanding, as follows:
🕰️ 7.9 hours per week (a 42% increase year over year)
📅 It decreased once from 43 days in 2024 to 36 days in 2025
😱 However, it increased again in 2026

Behind this lies new kinds of friction unique to the age of AI🧠, such as:
🖌️ Tweaking prompts
🧐 Verifying outputs
🏃‍♂️‍➡️ Context switching while moving back and forth between disparate systems
and so on.

There are probably quite a few people who feel, “Even though we introduced AI🧠, productivity hasn’t improved as much as we expected 😩.”

This report carefully analyzes the new friction that has emerged after AI🧠 adoption and the underlying question of “Why doesn’t it lead to productivity gains?”

感謝。今年もお世話になりました！

12月に入り、弊社は日本橋にオフィスを移転して、心機一転業務を開始しておりますが、今月はもう一つ大きなイベントとして、WalkMe Japanとして毎年恒例になった”ユーザー感謝祭”を、六本木のミッドタウンホールにて行いました。

今年は昨年より規模を大きくし、およそ150名にのぼる、お客様とパートナー様にご参加いただきました。

今年のテーマは"出会いがつむぐ、新たな未来"💖。
毎年好評のユーザー様同士が繋がって🤝頂くような企画をさらにバージョンアップし、笑顔😊に包まれた会となりました。

さらに、ユーザー感謝祭の前には、WalkMe Japan初めてのパートナーサミットを同日開催。
こちらも100名近いパートナーの皆様が参加し、パネルディスカッション📖や事例紹介、パートナーのビルダー様有志のコンテンツ発表💡など、非常に有意義でWalkMe JapanらしいアットホームなSummitとなりました。

改めまして、WalkMeをご利用頂き懇意にして頂いているユーザー様、そして一緒にビジネスを前に進めて頂いているパートナー様、本年も誠にお世話になりました。

また、WalkMe 本社及びグローバルの関係者の皆様、そして各種関連企業の方々、諸々のサポートをありがとうございました。

As December began, our company relocated its office to Nihonbashi and started operations with a fresh mindset. This month, we also held another major event: the annual “User Appreciation Festival” hosted by WalkMe Japan at Midtown Hall in Roppongi.

This year, we expanded the scale compared to last year, welcoming approximately 150 customers and partners.
The theme for this year was “New Futures Woven by Encounters.”
We further upgraded our popular program that connects users with each other, making it an event filled with smiles.

Additionally, before the User Appreciation Festival, we held WalkMe Japan’s first Partner Summit on the same day.
Nearly 100 partners participated, and the event featured panel discussions, case studies, and presentations of content by volunteer partner builders. It was a very meaningful and characteristically warm Summit for WalkMe Japan.

Once again, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all our users who have supported and used WalkMe, and to our partners who have helped us move our business forward this year.
We also thank everyone at WalkMe headquarters and globally, as well as all related companies, for their various forms of support.

Today marks the end of WalkMe Japan’s business operations for the year.
We look forward to working with you again next year.
