Doing your own social media is free. Let's actually do the math.

Start with hours. Planning content, shooting it, editing, posting, replying to comments and DMs. For most owners we speak to it lands around six hours a week, and that's a conservative number.

Then put a value on your hour. Not what you pay staff, what your own time is worth when you're closing sales, quoting jobs, or serving customers. Say $2,000.

Six hours, times $2,000, times four weeks. That's $48,000 a month, coming out of your business every month, and it's coming out whether the content performs or not.

That's the real cost. It just isn't on any invoice, so it never gets counted.
