Si è recentemente svolto nella ormai classica sede della Torre medievale di San Vincenzo a Livorno il concorso AUDIOCOSTRUTTORI '26 coordinato dalla community Audiocostruttori e dalla Rivista CHF - "Costruire Hifi".
RS Speakers ha partecipato come sponsor, offrendo una coppia di woofer W174.38 Fibonacci e una coppia di tweeter TW 110.28 F/Ag, come primo premio nella categoria "Diffusori".
Andrea Qu***ia è stato proclamato vincitore, con il suo splendido progetto "Dark Stone", una torre a 2 vie con subwoofer attivo e driver a compressione caricato a tromba, decisamente impressionante per prestazioni ed estetica, ma soprattutto interamente realizzato con altoparlanti italiani, tanto per ribadire che qui da noi le cose le sappiamo fare per benino!
Congratulazioni ad Andrea, e confidiamo che l'anno prossimo avremo modo di apprezzare un nuovo progetto basato sugli altoparlanti RS Speakers, by SICA_Loudspeakers!

The RS Speakers Fibonacci MidWoofers by SICA_Loudspeakers can effortlessly bridge a larger woofer with a dome tweeter.
Of course they do!
But they also have linear bass extension, and ample headroom, to work as "wide range woofers" in less conventional, DSP controlled reflex configurations, becoming an ideal choice for active 2-way monitors for Studio applications.
Available in 5" and 6,5" sizes, they feature the patented Fibonacci cone and a custom-designed, solid aluminum phase plug that extends the frequency range, with an impeccable off-axis response.

Where Nature Converge with Science.
Crafting the RS Speakers Fibonacci Series woofers was a pursuit of sonic perfection, driven by passion. The SICA_Loudspeakers R&D team pushed beyond technical excellence, perfecting our custom cellulose membrane, with two proprietary treatments, acrylic on the front and an organic-based dampening treatment on the back of the cone. Yet, we aimed for more.
To achieve ultimate clarity, we looked to the mathematical precision of the natural world, as codified by Fibonacci in the 13th century. Through a patented laser erosion process (Pat. No. 102021000017741), we traced the Fibonacci spiral onto the cone’s surface. This precision etching enhances rigidity in an organic way, eliminating the smallest resonances and vibrations.
The result? A pure, impeccable response that exceeded even our own expectations.

Soft silk domes delivered exactly what we were looking for: an organic sound, with all the details and none of the artifacts.
- Engineering the Soft Dome
Silk is a remarkable, lightweight natural fiber, but it requires precision to perform. By applying specialized internal and external treatments, we transform the dome into a sophisticated "mini-sandwich" structure. This engineering choice dampens resonances and prevents unwanted deformations, particularly in the critical frequency bands just above the tweeter's resonance frequency.
