اسرائیل-فلسطین کے معاملے پر پاکستان کا موقف وقت کے ساتھ ساتھ بدلا ہے۔ ابتدا میں پاکستان نے فلسطین کے لیے واحد ریاست کے خیال کی حمایت کی۔ تاہم، سالوں کے دوران، یہ موقف دو ریاستی حل کی وکالت کی طرف مڑ گیا ہے۔ یہاں ایک مختصر جائزہ ہے:

پاکستان نے 1947 میں اپنے قیام کے بعد سے مسلسل فلسطینی کاز کی حمایت کی ہے۔ گزشتہ برسوں کے دوران، پاکستان کا موقف دو ریاستی حل کی وکالت کے لیے تیار ہوا ہے۔ یہاں کچھ اہم نکات ہیں:
- پاکستان خطے میں بڑھتے ہوئے تشدد کے درمیان فلسطینیوں کے ساتھ مضبوطی سے کھڑا ہے۔
- اعلیٰ پاکستانی قیادت نے عالمی برادری پر زور دیا ہے کہ وہ اس جنگ کو روکے جو ممکنہ طور پر پھیل سکتی ہے۔
- صدر عارف علوی نے عالمی برادری سے اسرائیل اور فلسطین کے درمیان کشیدگی کے خاتمے کے لیے فعال کردار ادا کرنے کا مطالبہ کیا۔
- نگراں وزیر اعظم انوار الحق نے زور دے کر کہا کہ مسئلہ فلسطین کا حل اس کے عوام کی امنگوں کے مطابق مشرق وسطیٰ میں امن کے لیے ضروری ہے۔
- دفتر خارجہ کی ترجمان ممتاز زہرہ بلوچ نے اسرائیل فلسطین تنازع پر پاکستان کے مستقل موقف پر زور دیتے ہوئے دو ریاستی حل کی وکالت کی۔
- پاکستان کا موقف ہے کہ 1967 سے پہلے کی سرحدوں پر فلسطین کی ایک خودمختار ریاست قائم کی جائے، جس کا دارالحکومت یروشلم ہو۔
- پاکستان پیپلز پارٹی کے سربراہ بلاول بھٹو زرداری، پاکستان مسلم لیگ (نواز) کے صدر شہباز شریف اور پیپلز پارٹی کے شریک چیئرمین آصف علی زرداری سمیت سیاسی رہنماؤں نے فلسطینی عوام کے ساتھ یکجہتی کا اظہار کیا اور اسرائیل کے "قبضے اور جبر" کو ختم کرنے کا مطالبہ کیا۔
حالیہ برسوں میں، یہ قیاس آرائیاں کی جا رہی تھیں کہ پاکستان، اسرائیل-فلسطین کے معاملے پر اپنے تاریخی موقف کے باوجود، اسرائیل کے ساتھ سفارتی تعلقات استوار کرنے میں اس کی پیروی کر سکتا ہے۔ تاہم، پاکستان نے ایک آزاد فلسطینی ریاست کے قیام کی وکالت کرتے ہوئے اپنے تاریخی مؤقف کی طرف رجوع کیا ہے۔ یہ پاکستان کو روس اور ایران کے ساتھ رکھتا ہے، لیکن جاری واقعات میں ایک فعال شریک کے طور پر نہیں- اس طرح امریکہ اور مغرب کے ساتھ براہ راست تنازعہ سے گریز کرتا ہے۔

AI on the Frontlines: The Dawn of Robotic Armies

As we stand on the brink of the fourth industrial revolution, artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics are poised to play a significant role in our future. One such application is the development of AI robotic armies.

Some examples of AI in the military are:
- Project Maven: This is a US military initiative that uses machine learning algorithms to analyze huge amounts of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance data. The goal is to provide credible intelligence for use in counter-insurgency operations[1].
- Autonomous drones: These are unmanned aerial vehicles that can fly without human intervention and perform various tasks, such as monitoring border areas, identifying threats, and communicating information to the relevant teams[2].
- AI assistants: These are software programs that can help military personnel with various tasks, such as planning operations, training, logistics, and medical care. They can also provide suggestions, feedback, and warnings based on data analysis and situational awareness[3].

Some ethical concerns about AI in the military are:

- Accountability: Who is responsible for the actions and outcomes of AI systems in warfare? How can human operators maintain positive control and oversight over autonomous weapons and other AI applications? How can errors, failures, and biases be detected and corrected?[4-6]
- Legality: How can AI systems comply with international humanitarian law and human rights law in armed conflict? How can AI systems distinguish between combatants and non-combatants, and between military and civilian objects? How can AI systems respect the principles of necessity, proportionality, and humanity?[4-6]
- Ethics: How can AI systems respect the dignity and rights of human beings in warfare? How can AI systems avoid causing unnecessary harm or suffering to humans and the environment? How can AI systems uphold the values and norms of democratic societies?[4-8]

The role of international organizations in regulating AI in warfare is to provide a platform for dialogue, cooperation, and norm-setting among different stakeholders, such as states, the private sector, civil society, and experts. International organizations can help to address the legal, ethical, and humanitarian challenges posed by AI weapons, such as accountability, compliance, transparency, and human dignity.

International organizations like the ICRC, UN, and IEEE play a crucial role in regulating AI in warfare. They provide platforms for dialogue and cooperation among stakeholders and help address legal, ethical, and humanitarian challenges posed by AI weapons.[9-11]
