⏳ LIMITED SPECIAL EDITION on KICKSTARTER,
only until the END OF OCTOBER ⏳

A story about a woman who washes up on a lonely island. The grumpy fisherman who finds her has two thoughts: finish the job someone else started... or save her.

ISLE OF DRAGON BONES is a standalone age-gap romantasy.
Imagine Ariel from The Little Mermaid meets a retired Blackbeard, except Kelpie lost her memory, not her voice, and Ardenn really, REALLY needs her gone before she remembers what's hiding under the waves.

Inside you'll find:

🐲 dragons
🥵 age gap romance
❤️‍🔥 banter
🌤 grumpy/sunshine
🛏 forced proximity (there's only ONE BED, in case you missed it)
☠️ secrets
❓ amnesia
👻 spooky rom-com vibes

✧ ART COMMISSION for M.A. Frick - Romantasy Author and Wannabe Dragonrider ✧

My dragon skeleton illustration is printed inside the book and I finally got to hold it!!

The limited edition is on Kickstarter ONLY until the end of October. After that, it's gone.

☠️ Secrets
❓ Amnesia
👻 Spooky rom-com vibes (though my alphas refuse to let me use Scooby-Doo as a comp)

So, we're starting to get more and more cold now 😭 and I had this autumn mood hit this morning. I decided to make a fast, fun sketch toward gold autumn colors.

And when Syrax kept circling in my head. The queen's dragon, wrapped in autumn's palette. Hehehehehhe

Today's sketch came together in fast crazy mode... loose lines, warm shadows, mess 🤣 but my mind was already deep in the lore.

We know for certain that Morning hatched from Syrax's egg. That's confirmed in Fire & Blood. Rhaena Targaryen claimed her (I wanna see what they gonna do with that in the show).

But then there's the theory...that Vermax, Arrax, Tyraxes, and Stormcloud all came from her earlier clutches, placed in the cradles of Rhaenyra's sons. We never got to see Stormcloud unfortunately, so no confirming that one.

😑😑😑 Arrax and Tessarion share the same design...Then... again... 😮‍💨 Tessarion is supposedly a baby version of Dreamfyre's new design too, so... back to square one 🤣

In all of this I have a sadness about Vermax from last season's moments. So I drew him still in the egg. Safe, warm and happy.

🤔 Thinking about making the whole family. Not sure yet how to go about it. But for now... Syrax, and some unhatched eggs. So many questions in my head about how to go with this. I wanna draw more baby dragons.

Finally getting back to my Vermithor & Silverwing love piece!

I restarted it because I still wasn't completely convinced by the forms and proportions… sometimes you just need to take a step back and redraw until it feels right.
So... what do you think about the before vs. after?

I'm much happier with the new shapes. I can see more of them.

Next step: colors + rendering!!!
