Court notice to Kiran & Govt on Dharmana

The AP High Court has issued notices to both the state government and chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to explain their stand on a petition that challenged the continuance of Dharmana Prasada Rao in the state cabinet despite his being named an accused in the CBI chargesheet in the Vanpic case.

The petitioner, O M Debora, a retired employee, charged the CM for unlawfully supporting Dharmana in the case by refusing to accept his resignation and also passing a cabinet resolution against CBI prosecuting him.

The division bench comprising justice G Rohini and justice P Naveen Kumar issued notices to both the state and the CM, asked them to file their responses and posted the case to June 5 for further hearing.

This development is being described as significant as this will make it mandatory for the CM to explain in writing as to why he is refusing to accept the resignation of Dharmana. Also, the state had not filed its counter in the CBI cases ever since the high court began hearing the Jagan assets cases.

Now, it will need to clarify on the 26 GOs that were issued by the YSR regime. The Supreme Court has issued notices to six ministers including Dharmana Prasada Rao and 8 bureaucrats in connection with the 26 GOs.

Shankar Rao arrested and bailed

The Crime Investigation Department (CID) officials has arrested Cantonment MLA P Shankar Rao in connection with the Greenfields case and produced him before the Nampally court and released on conditional bail.

Shankar Rao deposited three sureties of `1 lakh each and his passport. The case relates to a complaint by the residents of Greenfields Colony in Kanajiguda village, Alwal municipality, that Shankar Rao and his brother Dayanand were claiming ownership of 875 plots on the basis of fake documents.

Cases were filed against the MLA under sections 120 B (criminal conspiracy), 197 (creating false certificate), 420 (cheating), 468 (forgery for cheating), 471 (using forged document) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.

Nitin bagged a cool hit this summer. He showed his honesty by giving credit to his favourite star Pawan Kalyan. Nitin said that its because of Pawan, Ishq got craze. Even in case of ‘Gunde jaari gallanthayyinde,’ Pawan’s image played a great role in making it hit. Nitin said, “No one would have come to Ishq audio function, as I already had ten serial flops then. Everyone wrote me off. People would have thought, is it necessary to go to that function. But when I asked Pawan, he just said he would come and asked time and venue. Ishq became a hit as he graced the audio function. Many are appreciating Toliprema remix song. They are saying that remix is bettter than original. But original is always original and remix is remix. Powerstar is always Power Star.” Thus Nitin expressed his gratitude to Pawan Kalyan.

Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram movie’s Nizam rights have been sold. Global Cinemas bagged the Nizam distribution rights of the much awaited movie. It seems Global Cinemas has paid, highest ever amount, for any movie in Nizam area. Though amount is not disclosed, it was confirmed by none other than Nitin. It’s already a known fact that, Nitin’s father Sudhakar Reddy is a partner in Global Cinemas. In fact it was Nitin who convinced them to buy the rights of Pawan’s film by paying all time highest rate. It seems the bonding between Pawan and Nitin is reaching a new high.

Power star Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram are working hard to give another entertainer to fans. Samantha and Praneeta are starring opposite Pawan. Title of the film has not been confirmed yet. Some titles like Sarada and ‘Hare rama hare’ have been doing rounds in the media. Of late another title has been doing rounds for this film. That’s ‘Attarintiki daredi.’ Isn’t it appearing as a pure Telugu title. Yes, even director Trivikram is moulding this film as a pure family film. Unit members are saying that ‘Attarintiki daredi’ is an apt title for this film. But till now, no official statement has been made in this respect.
