⚠️ CALENDAR PHISHING IS ON THE RISE — DON’T FALL FOR IT!

Scammers have found a sneaky new way into your life — through your Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar. You didn’t click a sketchy link. You didn’t open a strange email. Yet somehow, a fake “meeting invite” just appeared on your schedule. 😱

📅 HOW IT WORKS:
Attackers send calendar invites with malicious links disguised as Zoom calls, prize notifications, or urgent alerts — and your calendar auto-accepts them without you knowing!

🚩 RED FLAGS TO WATCH FOR:
📅 Unexpected invites from strangers for meetings you never scheduled
🎁 “You’ve won a prize!” or urgent messages in event descriptions
🔗 Suspicious links in the location or notes field — mimicking Zoom, Google Meet, or PayPal
🏦 Requests for personal info, login credentials, or payment to “confirm” attendance.

✅ HOW TO STAY PROTECTED:
⚙️ Turn OFF auto-add of invites in your calendar privacy settings
🔍 Only accept invites from people you know or expect
🚫 Never click links inside calendar events from unknown senders
🗑️ Delete suspicious events and report them to your IT team or email provider.

🚨 Cybersecurity Alert for Developers!

Researchers have uncovered 73 fake VS Code extensions spreading dangerous GlassWorm v2 malware — and it’s more serious than it sounds.

⚠️ These malicious extensions are designed to:
• Steal sensitive credentials
• Install backdoors
• Spread across multiple developer tools and IDEs

Even more concerning, some of these are “sleeper extensions” — they appear safe at first and later update to deliver malware.

💡 Over 320 malicious artifacts have already been linked to this campaign since late 2025, targeting developers through trusted ecosystems.

👉 What you should do:
✔️ Only install extensions from trusted publishers
✔️ Regularly audit your installed plugins
✔️ Remove anything suspicious immediately

73 cloned VS Code extensions since Dec 21, 2025 fuel GlassWorm v2, installing cross-IDE malware and stealing credentials.
