"Quiet Gravity" emerges from thousands of algorithmically calculated connections woven with light grey, dark grey, and black silk threads. What appears chaotic up close settles into a delicate human presence from a distance, revealing how order can be hidden inside complexity.
A face assembled not with brushstrokes, but with tension, mathematics, and light.

Quiet Gravity is an algorithmic silk-thread portrait constructed from thousands of precisely calculated thread connections stretched across a geometric pin framework. Layered using three tonal values, light grey, dark grey, and black, the artwork explores how density, overlap, and negative space can generate form without traditional mark-making.
From close range, the composition appears as a network of intersecting lines and subtle tonal shifts. As the viewer steps back, the threads converge into a contemplative portrait suspended between presence and disappearance.
The reflective quality of silk introduces a constantly changing visual experience, allowing light to reshape shadows, contours, and emotional depth throughout the day.
A meditation on memory, perception, and the hidden structures that hold an image together.
