Live performance leaves no room for friction.
Musicians donāt need more tools; they need the right one.

The objective was clear: replace scattered paper sheets, manual annotations, and fragmented workflows with a single, performance-ready digital system optimised for iPad.
Hereās how we approached it.
We designed Muso Minder as a centralised digital library for lyrics and sheet music, enabling performers to import, organise, and access PDFs effortlessly. Songs can be structured with metadata such as key, tempo, tags, and performance notes, ensuring that every critical detail is accessible in seconds.
We engineered the setlist for real-world performance flow. Sequential navigation, minimal interaction friction, and distraction-free layouts ensure musicians stay focused on the stage not the screen.
Because live environments demand flexibility, we implemented:
- Apple Pencil integration using PencilKit for smooth, low-latency annotations directly on PDFs

⢠A visual metronome for precise timing support
⢠Embedded media playback for rehearsal workflows
Performance and stability were non-negotiable.
We optimised memory management, rendering performance, and load times to ensure reliability during extended live sessions.
From a technical perspective, Muso Minder is a native iPadOS application built in Swift using Apple-native frameworks, with a modular architecture designed for long-term scalability and future feature expansion.
The result is more than a digital songbook.
Itās a production-ready, App Storeāquality performance system that enables musicians to go paperless without sacrificing control, confidence, or speed.
At KMSoft, we build products that are not just functional but operationally aligned with real-world use cases.
If you're building a performance-critical product where reliability and user experience define success, Iād love to talk.
