A frustrating, systemic misconception lingers in today’s corporate world: the belief that designing is easy. Many employers assume the process of creating design is just trivial. They think that creating a sleek interface, a seamless user flow or striking logo is trivial, and it should only take an hour or two.
This misunderstanding has led to a toxic shift where designers are increasingly being pressured to operate like machines, expected to churn out innovative masterpieces on a rigid schedule. But creativity doesn't adhere to a stopwatch.
When you treat a designer like an algorithm, you break their process. While coding relies heavily on logic and ex*****on, design requires a different cognitive engine. Designers aren't just making things look pretty; they are decoding human psychology, mapping user behavior, and solving complex business problems visually.
Employers cannot automate the human soul like robots. To get world-class work that elevates a brand, corporate leaders must stop treating designers like machines. Give them the space to think, the time to iterate, and the respect they deserve - only then will you see what they are truly capable of building.
