For years, morning coffee has simply been a ritual - powering early starts, long calls, and builder mode. Looks like it may have been a long-term investment too. Turns out that habit has been running a quiet experiment for decades.

A Harvard study found that regular coffee drinkers have a lower risk of dementia. Not decaf drinkers. Not tea drinkers alone. Coffee drinkers. Specifically, because of caffeine's role as an adenosine antagonist - it blocks the receptor that suppresses memory circuits.

Some good decisions in life weren't decisions at all. They were habits that quietly compounded.

India’s sporting gap isn’t talent. It’s what happens after the first breakthrough.

Coaching stability. Mental conditioning. Recovery after injury. Financial security between tournaments.

Some lives don't fit in a biography. They fit in an era.
David Attenborough turned 100 this year.

100 years. 74 of them on television. One phone call that changed the colour of every tennis ball at Wimbledon. And a LEGO box that quietly updated a number it had printed since 1949 - just for him.

An exceptional gathering of global policymakers, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Yogi Adityanath, US Ambassador to India- Sergio Gor, and industry leaders including Sunil Bharti Mittal, Venu Srinivasan, Gautam Adani amongst others at the CII Annual Business Summit 2026 - all united by a larger vision for India@100, a powerful initiative backed by Confederation of Indian Industry for over 15 years that I have the privilege to Chair.

Also had a very timely conversation on “The Future of India is Creative: Unleashing the Economic Potential of India’s Soft Power” alongside Secretary, Government of India, Saurabh Garg, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Aashti Bhartia, Shivika Goenka, Rahul Mishra, and Tarana Sawhney.

As India’s next century takes shape, creativity, culture, and commerce will become some of its most powerful exports.

Such joy to spend an hour with people from your own city, leading NGOs and heads of CSR, encouraging them to collaborate with each other, with one vision for societal progress. A core necessity for big change to truly happen.

Miguel Ángel "Mike" Bezos wrote a cheque to fund a garage startup of his son Jeff. That company is Amazon today! As the 'Angel' in his name suggests, Miguel reminds us that the first angel investment often comes from home - in the form of belief, encouragement, and quiet backing. A parent's faith can be the earliest and most powerful catalyst, long before any cheque is written or headlines are made.

Was wonderful to spend time over two days with Mike Bezos, Clair Munana, fellow Aspen Institute USA trustees, in Segovia, Spain as we discussed Leadership for Humanity's Next Chapter - growing a worldwide community of leaders who use their creativity, energy, and resources to tackle the foremost challenges of our times. Very critical to build the right values in today’s youth who will lead in the future.
Mike’s $200M endowment to set up the Center for Rising Generations at Aspen, was the inspiration for us to set up the Navani Rising Generations Fellowship (NRGF) at Ananta Aspen in India, the country with the largest Rising Generation in the world. Two batches of NRGF (Omega) for the 14–18-year-olds have been successfully completed. Getting ready to launch NRGF (Alpha) for 19–24-year-olds soon.

There are cricketers, and then there is Sachin - a man whose grace off the pitch is as legendary as the runs on it.
Blessed to celebrate another year of a friendship that's as timeless as the man himself. Happy birthday, Sachin Tendulkar. Our favourite number 10. Always.
