The Indian Government has announced that airbags will be mandatory for all passenger vehicles from 01/04/2021. For any ‘critical harness’ like ‘airbag harness’ your customers have concerns and expectations. It is expected by the customers that there is no ‘rework’ on a critical harness.
Futura's tester models FACT (https://futuras.com/fact-cable-wiring-harness-advanced-tester/) and HTPC(https://futuras.com/htpc-harness-tester-pc-based/ ) have a feature called ‘cutter module’, which can give this assurance.
Using cutter module feature, a harness declared as faulty can be ‘cut’ in two pieces, thus ensuring that ‘rework’ or ‘correction’ cannot be done on a failed harness.
Our tester gives out a relay output to activate cutter module.
