"She has been the strongest of all in our family. I remember once, she was all alone at home and accidentally slipped on the wet floor and injured her head, she started bleeding, despite that, she just stood up and get herself checked in at the hospital, even doctors were surprised, she drove herself to the hospital. After getting all checkups done and bleeding stopped, she called us and informed that she has to get the stitches as she has hit her head in the bathroom.

During that time, my parents were at village and I was at my college, this was above all the medical complications she was already fighting.

I came to know about her Leukemia - Blood Cancer (CML) only last year, I knew she was sick for a long time, but my parents would always make an excuse saying she has some blood related issue, and I would believe them, until last year they confessed when they had to hospitalize her as her medications stopped working. The amount of injections and medicine and pain she suffers makes it so painful to watch, but she is very brave.

I have never felt so angry and helpless in my life, miles away while she was in hospital in misery.

I am hoping and urge (_/\_) people will signup to become at DKMS BMST Foundation India, I pray and hope she finds her matching Donor soon. All it takes is people take a SWAB test.

She is doing well right now, but needs to have a transplant soon."

"I entered LNMIIT in 2010. Unlike most people, I did not have dreams in my eyes or the drive to be something. I was just looking for a next step because college seemed like a pleasant departure from the mundane PCM lifestyle. Little did I know about the ordeal that awaited me. In hindsight, I don’t understand why we discount non-IIT Institutes in terms of quality of education. LNMIIT was twice as tough for me, compared to my management studies. Had it not been for folks like Sumedha, Umang, Akhil, Bhavya, Abha, Mahima and many others who taught me how to “chill”, I would not have been able to survive the ordeal that engineering was!

Am I the only one who did not enjoy this engineering experience? The answer is a clear no! But I guess I was one of the few who understood it well that the best way to come out of this was to complete it and move on to (what I thought) a better place. We were a bunch of 12-15 people who had decided to confuse ourselves a bit more and started preparing for MBA. Aashi, Aayush, Sravya, Neha, Akshta and many more were in the same league as I was, perhaps a little less demotivated. When we all had our paths charted out, we began to miss the DJ parties and festivities on campus. Today, when I look back, LNM was a reality check for me and most of my friends and I’m sure we are all glad to have completed the run and moved on to our own races for the better. On my visit to campus also, I realized that many more like me enter the campus as a part of this herd of engineering aspirants. My only advice to my fellow mates who share this feeling is that it's possible to come out of this with hard work. LNM is actually a good place to take your first step in the direction of your career and one size does not fit all. In my humble opinion, the only common denominator to campus success stories is the belief that there is no secret ingredient.

PS: Crazy is a good strategy!

Q: What is Art to you?

This is way too difficult thing to explain. I can talk about how it all started. Before 10th grade, I was hopeless, no art, even my handwriting sucked. Then I started working on calligraphy, I started browsing fonts from the computer and started practicing them. I use to dance too, I have won few awards back in days for the same.
It took me a year of practice to just get my handwriting okay, started moving on to cartoons.
By end of 11th grade, I was pretty good with cartoons along with engineering exam preparations. It was not a passion at that time, but after I came to college, it started becoming one of my major work here. I had to leave it all for a year in between when I took a drop year.
Slowly, I started exploring coding languages by the end of my freshmen year, but never got the gist of it. So, went on to web designing, I am still working on it since then.
I am going to do my master in Designing. I am planning to start my own art gallery that will feature mine and other people’s work too, so need to earn something before that. Graphics Designing it is for now. And I never sold my art yet.

Q: What has been your inspiration?

It has always been love. Every girl I have been close to has brought inspiration to my art somehow. I buy a sketchbook whenever someone new comes to my life. We get over, so does the sketchbooks. Most of the times I have gifted those sketchbooks. Then comes next, and life goes on. It has always been hard to complete a sketchbook, I have only been able to complete one or two books. My last sketchbook was just 2 page complete, things did last long between us to work on it. I usually draw on any paper I can find around at the moment.

Q: How you do it? The motivation factor?

For me, art is all about mood, whatever my mood would be, so would be reflective in my work. All of my friends were biggest motivator back in school.

Q: The Best memory in the College?

All have been great to me, coming to Thadi, spending time with friends.
The day I remember the most, a lot of people came from different colleges for some event, and we were chilling out; Me and Her. We were in library lawns, we were playing with water pipes used for gardening, it was fun, we were all soaked up and wet. We didn’t care what others would think of it, or us, none, nada.

"I had a not-so-good beginning. I was literally the middle-class girl with simple living and all of this was so overwhelming and irritating at times.

I messed things up in the first semester both academically in M1 and emotionally with some of my friends. Some people had affection for me, that was not the same from my side.

Just a few months into college, and I was like, I don't need this right now. Being from a small town, I couldn't figure out all this chaos going on.

But its still a guilt for me when I remember getting things worse my best friend. I couldn't explain.

Months passed, I got to a knew few more seniors; Raveena Nathani boss, Samyak Dutt Gupta and Vaibhav sir. They were all so nice and supportive.

I remember, I needed to buy a laptop, Samy helped me out. We started talking just as friends, and things went on. He was a mentor at LFR. He calls me Guddu, because my family uses to call me the same. And all the bad things went away, I was adjusting well. We all went to IIT Bombay together, that's when things started to matter, we enjoyed a lot. Raveena Boss is the best senior ever. It was winters and I felt sick during the trip and she took care of me so nicely and that was it, best girl. And it has been so since then.

Samy and I used to spend time and hang out with Raveena boss and Vaibhav sir and sometimes just us. Then came the election and the mess it creates, he was way busy, and that cracked me up, after the results it was all so good. He WON. After some days, we confessed and were together.

Election surely took some great friends away but gave few life lessons too.

The second year was the best of all. It was so much fun. I went to IIT Bombay again. This time with friends, with all pretty memories. The story goes on..

You know Raveena Boss got placed on her birthday, isn't that great? We are going to have a blast! Chao!"

"I miss the Pragya Bang that used to study at LNMIIT. The fearless, innocent, expressive, dynamic and adorable Pragya, though I still am. But really the time that I spent here was certainly the best time of my life."

"But I don't know why the people here now are so worried and why the moral is such low. I understand that placements do matter a lot but wasting your most precious present just for the sake of the uncertain future is not what I may suggest anyone to do. The scenario in our time was far worse but still we never had that tensed look on our faces and finally all of us are doing quite good and let me tell you that LNMIIT is certainly a place where you get excellent opportunities to develop your technical as well as soft skills."

" I am a very nostalgic person so walking through these paths where I used to wonder around when I had nothing to do, or with friends just gossiping the things that were going on within our batch mates, if you know what I mean ! It was all really fun."

"Now I feel as if all of you are just under too much of pressure and stress regarding your future which according to me isn't the right way to deal with it. College life is meant to be enjoyed and the time here has to be invested in something creative because for doing the stereotype stuff you have the whole sh*tty life. But enjoyment doesn't mean wasting your time watching movies and seasons because they will be there till eternity but believe me this time will never come back."

"So the thing according to me is that we must have the caliber to judge what is correct and what isn't for us and finally implementing it in the correct way. Get indulged in several clubs and develop your soft skills along with your technical ones and above all enjoy these 4 years because in hard times these years only will make you smile."

How did you three meet?
Pooja: "It was the first day of college and we had the same wing. When I met Ashi, she was the sweetest person, all full of cuteness - a typical mumma’s girl. Thank God, she didn't crack her PJs then!
And when I met Avani, my first thought was ‘Is bandi se meri kabhi baat nahi ho sakti’, because she didn't seem interested in talking to anybody, all busy with herself. Next day we had this orientation thing, our whole batch was there and then out of nowhere, Avani exclaimed ‘Abbey dekh vo banda kitna sexy hai!’. That was it. I realized I found my kind of people. And rest, as they say is history."

What do you do in your free time?
Avani: "LOL. The craziest stuff one can imagine. Dancing to Malhari and trying to copy every step of Bajirao, making our own silly games before every exam (umbrella fight, or making the weirdest noises, to mention a few), having long photo sessions on B612, hosting our own disastrous fashion shows, the daily ludo championship (in which the last place is always reserved for Pooja), aur baaton ke liye toh 'acche log' free time nikaal hi lete hain.
There are a lot more which we can't mention here, but we have our own ways to live 'La Vida Loca'.

Since it is your last year here, what are you going to miss the most about each other?
Ashi: "Pooja's own dictionary of words that only she understands, the karaoke sessions we have, her loud laugh that can turn heads, and Avani's Chandler-ism, her horrifying skills to capture our every embarrassing moment, and of course her late-night desserts for our cravings.
With these two crazy 'bromines', I learnt how to laugh even at serious times. I will miss this time, these people, and these 'Mittal kaalej ki galiyan'. It seems like yesterday when we were just getting to know each other, and now here we are, when we can write biographies on each other."

What advice would you want to give to your juniors?
We three have a very simple equation: Crazy friends + Good times = Best memories.
Your friends are your chosen family and your college life is the best time of your life.
So make a million memories, crack thousands of jokes, share hundreds of secrets and do all this just because of one reason i.e. BEST FRIENDS.

"I believe you must have a perspective about everything in life, not just a judgment, but a substantial perspective. You need to comprehend a few other perspectives, analyze them and then build your own. It has helped me a lot, and this has majorly been my philosophy about life.

In the past one year, I have worked upon the mistakes that I made. I have never been a conversation initiator, but a guy who can never put up 'hi' or so. It has made my relationships go through sufficient ups and downs, be it with my parents, brother or even my girlfriend. I joined a lot of clubs and was well busy and things went south, fewer conservations day by day and slowly none. I did this with all, even the best buddy I know; Priyal.

We met as members of the Media Cell events and our opinions matched, we talked and talked, and the bonding was the best I ever had among my friends. But somehow the conversations lessened and it was a low point in the friendship as well. I finally figured out the pattern that followed, and then tried to work on what was missing. I was never the one to bring up my thoughts, and I guess the same also made my relations with my brother not so pretty, but as I grew, we started to converse and things eventually are working fine everywhere.

People often question about me being in the ME Dept. despite having a score good enough to have CSE, you see opinion matters, perspective matters. I liked solid metals and their mechanics and their integration with circuits and intelligence, so here I am. All that I have in mind, all that I have to work upon, be it any club or any assignment or life as a whole, now has an expression, a voice."

"I think one of the best feelings we share is laughing with someone and realizing halfway through how much you enjoy them and their existence. This is what we go through every day. When we first met we knew an adventure was going to happen but with no clue that it would last this long. This man beside with the bhand shakal [drunkard's face] has the poorest set of jokes one can crack and the top list of irritating habits but this is what makes him best."

"This Madrasan [South Indian] is so low on humor that she can never understand my jokes. [Baki isko jhelna zyada mushkil Hai.] Explore yourself in college and find the best way to be content. Mischief managed. The worst fear being with her is when she start blabbering in Telugu and I stand clue less like [ki beta ab tu pita yeh sab mil Kar marnge]. It feels good when she is around sometimes it's like you are struggling with some issue and she is the one you can get the best advice from and she kicks your ass when needed."

"I started this in 2014, this is great, work is fine. We own a tractor, few farm lands, and this small stall. We are doing good, but I don't like farming, I never go to the lands. I know most of the people till y14 batch, even y15 a bit, they are very nice and silent people, no quarrel, no big fist fights. Even if there is a momentum building around, I step in and out of the respect they give me, they step away and settle down. I am planning to leave next year, I am planning to start a fine restaurant, probably nearby, well, of course, keeping you all in mind. It all depends on the money I am waiting to get from somewhere if that comes along, I can start that, for else it might take few more year, but it will happen, looking for a location, buying a land, building one, hiring a guy or two."

P.C: Rohan Bhatti Sir, thank you! :D
