UP Plans 238 Public EV Charging Stations ⚡

Uttar Pradesh is accelerating plans to develop 238 public EV charging stations equipped with 714 chargers under PM E-DRIVE and the UP EV Manufacturing and Mobility Policy 2022.

📍 Gautam Buddha Nagar: 39
📍 Lucknow: 36
📍 Meerut: 35
📍 Gorakhpur: 32
📍 Varanasi: 28

Important reality check: these sites are still at the proposal, land-identification and implementation-planning stage. They are not operational charging stations yet.

The numbers show ambition. The next test is ex*****on: securing viable locations, arranging power connections, appointing implementing agencies and getting chargers commissioned on the ground.

India’s EV Boom: 3 Questions Nobody Is Answering

India’s EV ecosystem is expanding rapidly. But growth without accountability can create another set of problems.

The industry reportedly wants Battery Aadhaar implementation postponed until 2034.

Delhi is considering EV-only mandates, while transport unions say financing, charging, swapping and resale support are still not ready.

Meanwhile, states are announcing hundreds of new chargers, but public data on uptime, successful charging sessions and electricity delivered remains limited.

So we are asking three direct questions:

Why does battery traceability need another eight years?

If EV purchase becomes mandatory, who will guarantee a working charger?

And should India continue announcing new chargers before fixing the neglected ones?

EV adoption cannot be measured only through registrations and installation counts.

It must also be measured through reliability, accessibility and performance.

What should the government answer first?

Everyone asks “which EV charger should I buy?”
Wrong question. The right one: who will charge at your location, at what tariff, and when do you break even?

The EV Charger Business Kit answers that — before you spend a single rupee on hardware.

Can India Build an EV Motor Without Rare-Earth Magnets?

China controls nearly 94% of global permanent-magnet production.

Now, Bengaluru-based Vimag Labs is trying to take the magnet out of the motor equation.

Its Virtual Magnet Synchronous Motor uses an electronically generated magnetic field instead of rare-earth permanent magnets. The system is controlled through power electronics and proprietary software while remaining brushless and slip-ring-free.

The company has already secured:

➡️ 5 granted Indian patents
➡️ 10 additional patents in the pipeline
➡️ 15 trademark applications
➡️ Over 87,600 engineering hours invested

Vimag is also running pilot programmes with electric two-wheeler and passenger-vehicle manufacturers and has signed a manufacturing MoU with Jendamark.

The technology is still under validation, but it could become an important step towards reducing India’s dependence on China-controlled rare-earth magnet supply chains.

3 Things to Check Before Installing an EV Charger ⚡

Planning to install an EV charger? Don’t buy the hardware before checking these three things:

⚡ Power Availability
Make sure the site has the required sanctioned load, transformer capacity, electrical safety systems, and proper earthing.

📍 Location and Demand
Select a location with regular EV movement, easy vehicle access, and enough parking time for charging.

🖥️ Backend and Maintenance
A reliable CMS, payment system, remote monitoring, and after-sales support are essential for maintaining charger uptime.

The charger is only one part of the setup. The real performance comes from the right location, strong electrical planning, and reliable operations.

*Ladakh Gets Its First EV Charging Stations ⚡* 🏔️

Ladakh has launched its first EV charging stations, and this is bigger than just a new infrastructure update.

It marks the beginning of Ladakh’s carbon-neutral mobility roadmap.

A total of 5 EV charging stations are now operational at:

📍 Leh Main Bus Stand
📍 Tia Rong
📍 Solar Colony
📍 Chuchot Shamma
📍 Khaltsi

The sixth charging station near Magnetic Hill is in its final stage.

Each station is equipped with:

⚡ 2 fast-charging guns
🔋 Up to 80% charging in 30–60 minutes
🔥 Fire-safety systems
🛑 Emergency shutdown features

Why does this matter?

Because Ladakh is not an easy EV market.

The terrain is difficult.
The weather is extreme.
Tourism traffic is high.
And the ecosystem is highly sensitive.

Building EV charging infrastructure in such a high-altitude region sends a strong signal: India’s EV network is slowly moving beyond major cities and entering tougher, strategically important regions.

For residents, this can make clean mobility more practical. For tourists, it can open the door to cleaner travel across one of India’s most fragile landscapes.

Ladakh may be difficult terrain for EVs, but this is where the real infrastructure test begins.

UP Govt Se EV Charger Business Ke Liye ₹10 Lakh Tak Support Kaise Milega? ⚡

Uttar Pradesh mein EV Charging Station business start karne ka plan hai?

Toh UP Government eligible projects ko up to ₹10 lakh capital subsidy support deti hai. Lekin sirf charger kharid lena enough nahi hai.

Process broadly kuch aisa hai 👇

➡️ Minimum eligible investment: ₹25 lakh, excluding land
➡️ DPR aur project documents ready karo
➡️ Nivesh Mitra portal par register karo
➡️ Sanction Letter ke liye apply karo
➡️ Approval ke baad station install aur commission karo
➡️ Commercial operations start karo
➡️ Stage-1 aur Stage-2 subsidy claim file karo
➡️ Verification ke baad subsidy bank account mein transfer hoti hai

Important: Officially, UP Government ise capital subsidy kehti hai, VGF nahi.

Aur ek crucial point: full ₹10 lakh support claim karne ke liye generally ₹25 lakh eligible fixed capital investment ki zarurat hogi, kyunki subsidy 20% hai, capped at ₹10 lakh.

Video mein complete step-by-step process explain kiya hai.
