Beyond CI/CD: How DevOps Automation Becomes Autonomous Platform Engineering
Read the full blog: https://www.crestdata.ai/blogs/how-devops-automation-autonomous-platform-engineering/

In this thought leadership blog, Jay Patel explores how platform engineering is evolving from automation to autonomy, where AI-driven systems can provision infrastructure, optimize deployments, resolve incidents, and continuously improve operations.

If you’re thinking about where DevOps is headed next, this is a perspective worth reading.

Optimize enterprise security solutions with AI-driven engineering, seamless security platform migrations, and proactive Managed Security Services for 2026.

𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞

A threat report can carry hundreds of indicators. For most analysts, each one means the same tedious loop: spot the IOC, copy it, look it up in the threat intelligence platform, switch to the SIEM to check for sightings, then go back to the report and start again.

Over the course of a full investigation, that context switching quietly becomes one of the biggest drains on analyst time.

A cybersecurity organization focused on threat intelligence operations asked Crest Data to fix it. So we built a browser extension that brings the investigation to the analyst, instead of the other way around.

Now, while reading any research page, analysts can:
- See IOCs detected and highlighted automatically on the page
- Run threat intelligence lookups and check SIEM sightings inline
- Enrich intelligence records and act on incidents in place
- Investigate indicators in bulk and save them across sources

The result: far less context switching, faster threat validation, and analysts who stay in flow.

The diagram below shows the shift.

𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗡𝗦 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱. 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁.

That was the reality for a Fortune 500 manufacturer running Infoblox across three continents, with DNS, DHCP, and IPAM telemetry scattered across separate systems.

Crest Data's Infoblox Universal DDI integration for Datadog unified it:
6 data sources in one workspace
9 dashboards
20 monitors tuned to real failure and threat patterns

The 5-Step SOAR Migration Framework: Modernize Your Security Automation the Right Way
Read the full guide here: https://www.crestdata.ai/blogs/5-step-soar-migration-framework-modernize-security-automation-right-way/

Most SOAR migrations quietly go wrong at the same point, which is the moment a team copies every old playbook into the new platform and calls it progress. All that really does is move the mess, because the connectors that were breaking still break and the logic no one maintained is now someone else's problem on a shinier stack.

The teams that come out ahead treat the move as a rebuild rather than a transfer, and our new guide walks through the five steps that make that possible, from an honest inventory to sequencing the cutover in waves so nothing breaks mid-incident.

One surprise inside it? A good classification pass often cuts a third of the work before you rebuild anything.

If a platform move is on your radar, start here.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐃𝐨𝐞𝐬 "𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝" 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞?

Most security teams don't need more tools; they need the tools they already have to work together, so there's less alert noise, faster answers, and coverage that doesn't depend on heroic analysts.

That's what we engineer at Crest Data:

- Alerts your team can trust, with threat context built in
- Response that happens in seconds, not after standups
- One unified view across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem
- Round-the-clock coverage without the hiring struggle

From SIEM and SOAR to cloud, identity, and 24×7 managed SOC, we make your security stack finally deliver on its promise. Security that scales with your threats, not your headcount.

If that's the kind of security operations you're working toward, see how we get teams there: https://www.crestdata.ai/solutions/security/
