Presence of Sasanka Da
Some poet observed “these days the lifetime of any bereavement is simply one year” , for us in Ideation- it is not!. Well, you may change the word from bereavement to commemoration! We commemorate the parting day of Sasanka da on this date , every year – the 11th of January. We do not mourn! We take a new pledge! The pledge to remember the traits Sasanka da left back for us to recall! We take the pledge, every year renewed, to become better as human being, to become more serious, more dedicated, more loving, more focussed and more truthful to our pledges! We all take a renewed pledge to inculcate at least some values from Sasanka Da.
Very deliberately, we do not want to mention the year of his parting!, he just parted physically, he is with us, in every joy, in every stress, in every trying time, in every time of triumph. Sasanka da lives among us. He taught us to live and strive, live and love, live and triumph. Today, although is a little special when we put our heads together, brains and hands embraced and invoke Sasanka Da’s blessings for our journey.
Let us all take a little time today, alone and in congregation! Let us bow our heads – it is that January requiem time!
