Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior QA Automation Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop automated tests, identify problems, and maintain a seamless development and deployment pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Testing:
Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using frameworks like Selenium and Cypress.
Ensure test coverage across all major features and functionalities.
Defect Management:
Identify, document, and track software defects using a defect tracking system.
Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues effectively.
Collaboration & CI/CD:
Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to maintain quality across Agile sprints.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.
Performance & Security Testing:
Conduct API, performance, and security testing as needed.
Ensure adherence to security protocols and compliance requirements.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on the latest trends in software testing and automation tools.
Recommend and implement testing best practices to optimise workflows.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
5+ years of solid experience in software testing with a focus on automation.
Prior experience in a SaaS-based product company or high-growth startup is a plus.
Technical Proficiency:
Expertise in programming languages such as Java or equivalent.
Hands-on experience with testing frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, etc.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools, code repositories, and IDEs.
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective collaboration and communication skills.
Self-motivated with a passion for continuous learning.
