šæ How Plants Make Food ā Photosynthesis Explained
Did you know that plants donāt eat food like humans or animals?
Instead, they create their own food using a beautiful natural process called photosynthesis.
In this video, we explore how plants use sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to produce glucose (their food) and release oxygen into the atmosphere. This process takes place mainly in the leaves, inside tiny structures called chloroplasts, which contain a green pigment known as chlorophyll.
Hereās how the process works:
āļø Sunlight provides the energy for the reaction.
š§ Water is absorbed from the soil through the roots.
š¬ Carbon dioxide enters the leaves through tiny pores called stomata.
𧬠Inside the leaf cells, chlorophyll captures sunlight and converts these raw materials into glucose, which the plant uses for growth and energy.
At the same time, plants release oxygen, which is essential for the survival of humans and animals. Thatās why plants are often called the ālungs of the Earth.ā
This video visually explains the magical process happening inside every green plant around us.
