SUB-INSPECTOR OF SCHOOLS

No. of Vacancies: 338 Nos. (UR-176, SC-74, ST-20, OBC-58, PWD-10)



Educational Qualification:

i) 2nd class Honours or a 2nd class Master’s degree of a recognized University or its equivalent.
ii) Bachelor degree in Teaching or Education from a recognized University or its equivalent.
iii) Good knowledge in Bengali/ Nepali (spoken and written).

Desirable:

i) Teaching experience in Schools.
ii) Ability to organize extra-curricular activities.

Candidates should have ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required for those candidates whose Mother Tongue is Nepali).



Age Limit: Maximum 36 years as on 01.01.2018.



Pay Scale: Rs.9, 000/- – Rs.40, 500/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4, 700/-



Reserved Category candidates from the states other than West Bengal shall be treated as General Candidates.

Lady Constable in West Bengal Police. 2940 Madhyamik pass female candidates as “Constable” from all districts of W.B.

Qualification: Candidates must have passed Madhyamik Pariksha (X standard) conducted by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination under any Board recognized by the State Government or the Central Government. Candidates with higher qualification were also eligible to apply.

Age: 18yrs to 27yrs as on dated 1-1-2012. Age relaxation—OBC-3yrs, SC/ST-5yrs.
N.B.: OBC and SC/ST candidates of outside West Bengal will not receive age relaxation; they should have to apply as General candidates only.
Physical Measurement:
Height: 160 CM (152 CM for candidates of SC/ST, Gorkha, Garoyali, Rajbangshi)
Weight: Should be proportional to age and height as per medical standard.
Eye sight: 6/6 with or without glass.
Candidates should be physically and mentally fit without any defects which may hinder the performance of duty.
Salary: Rs.5400 – Rs.25200 and Grade pay—Rs.2600 per month
Selection Steps: Candidates will be selected by West Bengal Police Recruitment Board through Physical Measurement, Physical Efficiency Test, Written Test, Interview and finally Medical Examination.
On basis of application, candidates will be called for Physical Measurement and Physical Efficiency Test. Physical Ability Test will be of—Race of 400 Meters in 2 Minutes.
If selected then later will be called for Written Test. Written Test will be of 90 Marks. The questions will be of Objective Types on followings—(I) General Awareness, (II) General Knowledge, (III) Knowledge of Elementary Mathematics. Answer has to be written on OMR sheet.
There will be Negative marking for wrong answers. The questions will be set in Hindi, Bengali, English and Nepali.
Qualified candidates from Written Test will be called for Interview of 10 marks. During interview candidates should bring all the required original documents.
During preparing of final merit list, the marks obtained in Written Test and Interview will be calculated. After Interview, the candidates will have to go through Medical examination. Medical examination will be in selected govt. hospitals.
Finally certificates verification, if post is awarded then candidate will be sent to the Police Training School for training purposes.

N.B.: Application form will be available only from dated- 27th Feb 2012 to 25th March 2012. During collection of Application form, candidates should bring Crossed Postal Order or Demand Draft of Rs.150 as application fee with them. IPO/ D.D. should be in favour of—“West Bengal Police Recruitment Board” and payable—“Kolkata GPO”. SC/ST candidates do not require Application fee but they should produce Caste Certificate during collection of Application Form.
Candidates of other states should apply only as General Candidates.
