Rahu and Ketu aren't planets. They're the two points where the Moon's path crosses the Sun's — and that's the whole reason eclipses exist. 🌑
On 28 August, a partial lunar eclipse lands in Shatabhisha, whose symbol is an empty circle. 93% of the Moon goes into Earth's shadow. It becomes the circle.

Here's the geometry nobody explains properly. The Moon's orbit is tilted about 5° to the Sun's path. Two tilted circles cross at exactly two points. Those two points are Rahu and Ketu — no mass, no light, pure intersection. A full Moon anywhere else is just a full Moon. A full Moon near one of those crossings is an eclipse.
The ancients called them the eclipse-makers because that is literally what they are.
And the neat part: Shatabhisha is ruled by Rahu. So the Moon goes dark inside the star owned by the very thing that swallows it. Its deity is Varuna, keeper of cosmic law. Its name means a hundred healers. A wound and a remedy in the same 13°20′.
It won't be black either — it'll be copper. Earth's shadow isn't empty; sunlight bends through our atmosphere, loses its blue, and lands on the Moon red. Every sunrise and sunset on the planet at once, projected onto a rock 384,000 km away.
India won't see it. At maximum the Moon is 43° below our horizon — we're on the daylight side. Classically that means no sutak. The conjunction still happens; the view just belongs to someone else this time.
12 August took the Sun. 28 August takes the Moon. They always come in pairs.
